More Fish Tales!
Everyone likes to net a big one (deal or fish, you pick). Here’s Cencor SVP David McNeil and the king mackerel he caught while fly fishing in Destin, Fla., a few years ago. He tells us he started fishing with his dad and brothers while growing up in Arkansas. His favorite fishing spot is anywhere with his son and family, but he’s fond of the Bahamas. He plans to hit Destin again next month (hopefully with more pictures). He recently reeled in the 86k SF Winco lease (repping the landlord) in Lewisville with Weitzman agents, Matt Luedtke and Blake Shipp.
Holmes Firm’s Ron Holmes landed this trophy sailfish on the Pacific side of Costa Rica back in 2004. He released it, because he couldn’t imagine killing a fish that beautiful. His favorite fishing holes include any Rocky Mountain stream (the St. Joe in Idaho northeast of Coeur d’ Alene is particularly pretty), any salt water (but throw in a paradise stretch of beach for off fishing hours and that’s even better), and any high mountain glacier lake. But, any place with fish is a great place, he says. Growing up in South Louisiana, he says a backwater Cypress swamp or brine bayou also works just fine.
