London-based Barclays Bank will move in this fall to its newly leased 40k SF Class-A office space at 6800 Weiskopf Ave at Craig Ranch in McKinney. The building, the McKinney Corporate Center 1, was developed by VanTrust Real Estate. JLL’s Russell Cosby and Andy Leatherman repped Barclays.

NEW CONSTRUCTION
KTR Capital Partners plans a new spec project with two buildings totaling 335k SF at South Kimball Avenue and SH 26, across from Dragon Stadium in Southlake. MYCON General Contractors will be the contractor on Heritage Business Park. Alliance Architects is the architect on the project. The new spec construction of building 8 and building 9 on the site will add a 134k SF building with a 29-foot clear height and 45 dock doors, as well as a 201k SF building with 29-foot clear height and 49 dock doors. The project is slated for completion in May.

Chicken E’s 90k SF cold storage distribution center in the new HighPoint Business Park in Burleson was recently completed by Bob Moore Construction. The site will serve Chicken Express, which has 200 locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

CR Midway Investments purchased an acre at the southeast corner of Hwy 380 and Graves in McKinney from Winco Foods to build small strip center with Schlotzsky's and several other tenants. John T. Evans Co’s Jim Jamerson repped the buyer. Venture Commercial’s Kevie Beard and Theo Thompson repped the seller.

The Cantrell Co's Sam Pettigrew and Thomas Hooke Jr sold the 200-unit Eagles Landing Apartments at 238 E Oates Rd in Garland and the 82-unit Buena Vida Apartments at 2722 S Buckner Blvd in Dallas. The duo repped Post MAG PCF and Buckner Apartments, respectively. Parque Del Sol acquired Eagles Landing. Buena Redevelopment acquired Buena Vida Apartments.

BOMA Dallas hosted its annual sporting clays tournament at Elm Fork just before the Labor Day holiday. Team winners include Structure Tone Southwest (first), Alpha Glass & Mirror (second), and Pavecon (third). Structure Tone Southwest was also the corporate challenge winner. Top male shooter was Aaron Stearns and top female shooter was Joanne Massey.

Peloton Land Solutions promoted Randy Alexander to principal at Peloton’s HQ in Fort Worth. He joined Peloton in 2010 as the senior environmental scientist and office manager. Randy’s clients range from local municipalities, to land developers, energy exploration and production companies.
