Luke's Locker Tries To Outrun Bankruptcy With Store Closings, Files Chapter 11
After a Facebook post last week announcing temporary store closings, Dallas-based running and fitness retailer Luke’s Locker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday.
Three locations — Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth, Mockingbird Lane in Dallas and Gaston Avenue in Dallas — will remain open.
Luke's Locker president Matt Lucas hopes financial and legal experts will help the store rebuild “to its former strength,” the Dallas Morning News reports.
Last week, the company laid off 40 employees after closing stores in Plano, Southlake, Austin, Houston and the Woodlands. [DMN]
