Avanti Plans 12 New Senior Living Facilities
After more than a decade without senior living development, Flower Mound suddenly has a new community on the way. (The first time in recorded history a senior citizen ever managed to sneak up on somebody.) Avanti Living will break ground in January on a $15M project just north of Cross Timbers Road and Long Prairie Road. Avanti COO Lori Juneau-Alford says construction halted on senior living projects during the recession. Most of the existing competition was built in the late ‘90s or early 2000s, she says.
Lori tells us Avanti plans to build 12 senior living facilities across three states (Texas, Louisiana and Florida) in the next two years. There are also projects in the works in The Woodlands and San Antonio. The 77k SF Flower Mound facility will include 50 assisted living and 40 memory care suites. The design firm is PRDG, interior design is studioSIX5, and Cypressbrook Co will broker and develop the Flower Mound project. The facility should be ready in spring 2016.
