AT&T Isn't Going Anywhere
The rumors can be put to rest—AT&T will not only stay at its HQ on Akard Street, but it will add more than 1,000 workers in upcoming years and spend millions on a reboot, the Dallas Morning News reports. CBRE helped AT&T look at long-term office needs. AT&T CFO John Stephens says he's optimistic AT&T can come up with a great plan to stay at its location, which has more than 2M SF and nearly 6,000 employees. Exact capital improvements remain unclear, but AT&T will spend millions to add restaurant and retail outlets, an outdoor space and public art to the newly named AT&T Discovery District. [DMN]
