The Dallas "smart city" initiative has an official leader. Jennifer Sanders was appointed the first executive director of the Dallas Innovation Alliance. Jennifer, who co-founded the organization, has 12 years of experience in the technology industry, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

It's a tech program that real estate wants to watch—the initiative will help with traffic flow and energy conservation, particularly important with the DFW Metroplex growing so quickly. It's aimed to improve quality of life and help with economic development. The first phase of the project will begin in the West End, then move throughout the city if successful. [DBJ]
