Oceus Networks Inc. extended its DFW leases, doubling down on its North Texas roots.

“We are excited about extending our leases in these key locations,” Oceus Networks Chief Technology Officer Kevin Stiles said. “These extensions show Oceus Network’s commitment to the North Texas market where our R&D and Engineering hubs are located. In our fast-moving technology field, it’s key that we have access to the best talent, and North Texas gives us that.”

The tech company extended its 10K SF lease at Legacy Town Center III, 5801 Tennyson Parkway, for its corporate office as well as its 16K SF lease at Cascades at the Colony, 5916 Stone Creek Drive, for its operations center.

JLL Managing Director Steve Thelen and Associate Scott Hage represented Oceus in both lease extensions.

Thelen said Oceus' move to extend its leases is indicative of a change in the North Texas economy.

“Oceus Networks' lease renewals illustrates North Texas’ position as a hot spot for the tech industry,” Thelen said.

JLL research indicates Dallas-Fort Worth has recently become one of the top 10 tech markets in the nation and in the last five years, DFW has seen an uptick in tech-related jobs.

CBRE’s Dennis Barnes, Alexandra Cullins and Jackie Marshall represented Legacy Town Center’s ownership, KBS. Transwestern’s Nathan Durham and Joe Whitmer represented Cascades at the Colony’s ownership group, Cascades by Windsor 1 LLC.
