BOXER TO BUY DENVER OFFICE
October 4, 2012
With two sizable office buildings on its books, Boxer Properties is looking to add to its Denver portfolio.
Boxer’s acquisitions head Andre Pereira (here with partner David Kayle) calls Denver “a growth market” and looks to build “a good-sized portfolio” in the metro area. “Denver is somewhat like the Houston and the Dallas markets,” Boxer’s mainstay markets and where it’s based. It’s also pursuing more third-party leasing assignments.
But buying may be easier said than done, especially since Boxer mainly pursues value-add plays in the office arena. It owns the 150k SF One and Two Monaco off East Tennessee Ave and Pavilion Towers at 2851 South Parker Rd, a two-building 300k SF complex (above) that's 80% leased. Finding similar opportunities has been elusive. “We’ve made quite a few offers on buildings in Denver,” Andre says.
