Wood Partners Takes Former Middle School

Wood Partners is breaking ground on Alta Cherry Hills, a 306-unit luxury apartment complex on a nearly five-acre site that once housed Flood Middle School. (It's haunted by former janitors and, based on this photo, ghost trees.) Solidcore purchased the property and tore down the former school in 2012. Wood Partners just picked up the parcel for an undisclosed sum. Wood's Tim McEntee says there's pent up demand for new residential development and this project has "landmark identity."
