Aspen Architecture Firm No. 1 On Outside Magazine List
An Aspen architecture firm snagged the No. 1 spot on Outside magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work in 2017.
Forum Phi Architecture, which employs 21 people earning an average annual salary of $65,819, is among the 41 Colorado companies that made the magazine’s annual ranking. Employees enjoy unlimited vacation days after one year — can you say powder days? The company also hosts Forum Phridays, team-building events during which employees can take a Friday off to hit the slopes, go biking or do a hut trip. Another perk? Employees who recommend someone for recruitment get a $500 bonus after that new hire’s 90-day review.
Two other Colorado architecture firms also were ranked on the list: Aspen-based Charles Cunniffe Architects came in at No. 11, and CCY Architects in Basalt landed at No. 94. Charles Cunniffe provides employees a healthy breakfast from Whole Foods Market on Fridays, and CCY provides an $850 annual wellness allowance, an annual education allowance and a weekly in-office happy hour.
Denver-based Apto, a web-based software management platform for the real estate industry, also made the list, coming in at No. 84. The company’s powder days policy lets employees take a day off at the last minute in winter and on beautiful offseason days, too.
