Federico Pena Talks Urban Revitalization
Former Denver Mayor Federico Peña was the opening speaker at The Counselors of Real Estate’s Midyear Meeting held in Denver this week at the Four Seasons Hotel. Using Denver as the model, he said the road to successful urban revitalization is paved from the ground up—building consensus among many entities, including neighborhood groups, developers, regulators and politicians. He also encouraged attendees, who were from across the US and Europe, to strive for planning and development at a regional level. The Counselors’ Colorado Chapter hosted the event, with Alterra Real Estate Advisors president Ryan Toole and Centennial Realty Advisors president Ken Gillis as local program co-chairs.
