Alliance Construction Prepares For 20 Million Pound Concrete Pour At New Denver Hotel
On June 10, Alliance Construction Solutions will coordinate what it says will be one of the largest continuous concrete pours in Denver’s history. ACS and its partners will be using 150 trucks to pour 20 million pounds of concrete at a rate of 600 cubic yards per hour to create the concrete foundation for the future Hilton Garden Inn at 1999 Chestnut Place in LoDo.
The 12-story, 233-room hotel project, designed by Johnson Nathan Strohe and developed by Focus Property Group, includes the full renovation of the Hose Company No. 1 Building, one of Denver’s oldest landmarks.
The structure dates from 1883, and was built for Denver’s then-volunteer fire department. It became a city historic landmark in 1986. Once the renovation is complete, the building will house a restaurant with outdoor patios facing Chestnut and 20th.
