Greyhound Site Hits The Market
The prime city block in Arapahoe Square owned by Greyhound Lines Inc. has officially hit the market.
The 2.45-acre site with downtown core district zoning will allow for redevelopment with buildings up to 400 feet tall. Long considered an eyesore on such a prime piece of downtown property across from the Ritz-Carlton Denver, the Greyhound Redevelopment Site at 1055 19th St. is being marketed by JLL.
“Acquiring a full city block in this excellent location with such liberal zoning is a rare opportunity,” JLL Executive Vice President Patrick Bolick said. “JLL is excited to partner with Greyhound to select a developer to positively transform the neighborhood. Due to Denver’s strong market fundamentals, we are anticipating great interest.”
The block is coming to market as Greyhound Lines Inc., the largest intercity provider of bus transportation, is narrowing its relocation options. Greyhound will continue to operate bus service from its current location until a relocation site is finalized, expected near the end of 2020.
“It is Greyhound’s intent to improve the customer experience for passengers by relocating its bus terminal to a well-located and modern intermodal transportation facility,” Greyhound Senior Director of Real Estate Rey Nunez said.
