The final phase of development for Boulder Commons, an 11-building project in the Boulder Junction neighborhood, broke ground this week and includes an 89K SF multifamily residential project spread across four buildings. The development was planned by Morgan Creek Ventures and Coburn Partners out of Boulder.
“With its prime location offering convenient access to bike and nature trails, public transportation, and the Google Campus, Boulder Commons embraces the essence of Boulder's flourishing community, encompassing a multitude of dining, entertainment, and future growth opportunities," Morgan Creek Ventures principal Andy Bush said in a news release.
PEOPLE
Monfort Cos. hired Fritz Jünker to serve as the company’s next vice president of community and government affairs. Jünker has a deep history in real estate development and construction, and previously owned an eponymous design-build firm in Portland, Oregon.
SALES
Gordon Byron LLC purchased a 6.2K SF industrial space at 4100-4110 Fox St. in Denver for $2.65M. Kirk Vanino and Matt Nora of Lee & Associates represented the buyer. The seller was William Shukas.

Pyramid Point, a 120K SF office building in Englewood, sold to Certus, a commercial real estate agency located in Broomfield, for an undisclosed sum. Cushman & Wakefield’s Aaron Johnson and Jon Hendrickson represented the seller, San Francisco-based Graham Street Realty.
LEASES
Sybmia Logistics leased a 329K SF Class-A industrial space at 17190 East 85th Ave. in Commerce City for 10 years. Cresa Managing Partner Chad Kollar facilitated the transaction, according to a press release.

Lockheed Martin Corp. renewed its lease at a 100K SF industrial space at 8034 Midway Drive in Littleton. Kirk Vanino of Lee & Associates Denver represented the landlord, Winner Colorado Properties, while JLL represented the tenant.

A 3.8K SF industrial space at 2667 South Tejon St. in Englewood was leased by an unnamed tenant for about $12 per SF. Steve Cummock and Drew Williams of NorthPeak Commercial Advisors represented the landlord and tenant.

CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
Pinkard Construction completed a 135-unit multifamily housing project in Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood known as Thrive. The project was developed by the Denver Housing Authority and designed by Shopworks Architecture. The total development cost was around $44M.
FINANCING
Illinois-based Wintrust Financial provided $30M to build a 387-unit multifamily development off U.S. Route 36 in Broomfield.

Helix Architecture, an architecture and interior design firm, opened an office in Denver’s Golden Triangle District this week. The 30-year-old firm specializes in mixed-use, multifamily residential, higher education and corporate offices.
