Phoenix Company Bets on the DIA Market
New infrastructure is opening up more of the DIA submarket, A&C Properties VP Bill Wichterman tells us. The area (and the pun is entirely ours) has a long runway ahead of it.
A&C Properties recently completed the first phase of Porteos, a 1,287-acre mixed-use project adjacent to DIA, which includes a 7,500-space parking complex. Phase 1 also includes the opening of new Jackson Gap Street, which provides immediate access for travelers heading to DIA and a thruway for residents of Aurora and Adams County. "With the construction of this new south entrance to DIA, we've connected Adams County and Aurora to the massive economic engine that's the airport."
The Phoenix-based company invested $13M to complete Jackson Gap Street and related infrastructure, without public financing. It's a pivotal part of A&C Properties' long-term vision for the property, Bill notes. "Porteos will eventually be home to thousands of hotel rooms, millions of SF of industrial facilities, and hundreds of other businesses who value proximity to the airport." JLL is leading marketing efforts.
