Encana Re-Ups For 350k SF At Republic Plaza
Canadian oil and gas giant Encana Corp. has renewed its lease in Colorado's tallest building, Republic Plaza, taking 335k SF. That is less than the company used to rent, since it reduced its footprint as the energy industry contracted, though it is not clear exactly how much less, the Denver Business Journal reports.
The lease will run through 2026. The Denver office is responsible for Encana's operations in the United States, most of which are at the Eagle Ford oilfield in south Texas and the Permian Basin oilfield in western Texas. The company also has operations in the natural gas fields of the Piceance Basin of western Colorado.
Brookfield Property Partners and MetLife own Republic Plaza. Last year, they completed upgrades to the building, including the basement food court and the concourse.
