Unique-to-Market Retail Lures Major Investor
Another major Colorado deal in this week was retail: Ramco-Gershenson acquired the 810k SF Front Range Village in Fort Collins for $128M. The property is home to many of the usual major tenants, such as DSW, Cost Plus World Market, Staples, Party City, and the Sports Authority, but according to the buyer, a number of unique-to-market and specialty retailers were also part of the attraction, such as Sephora, Charming Charlie, Pure Barre, Runner's Roost, Learning Express, and Mathnasium. The center includes 78k SF of office space, and is also home to the Southeast Branch of the Fort Collins Public Library, which draws 366,000 people to the property each year. Events, such as “Music on the Terrace” during the summer (above), are also a big draw.
