Adult Apartments Planned For Lakewood
Avenida Partners LLC has started construction of a 230-unit rental community for active adults ages 55 and older at the corner of Colfax Avenue and Owens Street in Lakewood.
Avenida Lakewood is the centerpiece of the Oak Station Marketplace, a mixed-use development serving the newly constructed Oak Station on the Regional Transportation District’s W Line.
Designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning, the community will have three garden courtyards, a great room, a pub and game room, a dog park, an outdoor patio and barbecue grills, garden plots, a shuffleboard area and walking trails.
“Residents of Avenida Lakewood will enjoy resort-style amenities and beautiful, modern apartment homes without the responsibility of ownership,” Newport Beach, California-based Avenida Partners Managing Partner Robert May said in a news release. “The goal is to make the residents’ lifestyle as luxurious and effortless as possible so they can live every day to the fullest.”
The apartments will range from 793 SF to 1,238 SF and include a mix of 92 one-bedroom and 138 two-bedroom units. Some of the apartment features include private balconies, granite countertops, wood cabinetry with designer hardware, stainless steel appliances and washers and dryers.
The pre-leasing office is expected to open in May, and the community grand opening is planned for spring 2019.
