S.F. Tech Company Inks Large Lease In Denver
Denver's competitive rents and abundant commercial real estate space have lured another Bay Area tech company downtown.
Background information provider Checkr has taken advantage of a lucrative series of tax deals and perks provided by the state, inking an 11-year lease at the 18th Street Atrium, the firm said Wednesday.
"We've been very encouraged by the growth we've seen so far across our teams here in Denver, and we're excited to continue to invest in the local community and economy for the long term,” David Patterson, a spokesperson for the company, told the Denver Business Journal.
Checkr said it will grab almost 93K SF at 1621 18th St., a footprint that will surely help it in its stated goal of hiring 1,500 in Denver by 2027.
The property last traded hands in 2015, according to CRE data provider Reonomy, which reports it was sold for $44M to Stoltz. CBRE's Chris Phenicie represented the seller. Savills' Kirsty Cameron represented the buyer.
Checkr opened its second headquarters early this summer in Denver. It still maintains its original HQ in San Francisco.
