Why You Should Attend This Event

Why This Matters:

On a national level, outside of maybe the commercial sector, no asset types were hit as hard during the Pandemic as hotels and retail. In the years since, both have made impressive recoveries, with retail vacancy seeing a nearly 10% drop since 2020 and an increase in hotel development, particularly in the urban core of the metro in advance of major national and global events set to take place in the city. This event will discuss both of these asset types, and what the future holds. Bisnow aims to discuss what future development of retail space will look like, whether it will be concentrated in the extremely popular experiential, mixed-use, 'town square' type locations, or if activity will include anchored shopping centers and other less dense options. This event will also compare the hotel investment landscape vs. coastal and more leisure travel-oriented peers, demand drivers to increase revenues outside of mega-events, and how the regional and national firms based in Atlanta are viewing this particular segment of the commercial real estate ecosystem.

Join us and the firms driving market activity in both the retail and hospitality sectors as we detail the market drivers leading to growth in these critical CRE sectors to better equip you and your firms in the search for future deals.

What You'll Learn:

  • With retail vacancy rates sitting at historic metro area lows, how does the development community see the potential for future activity?
  • How are owners managing retail space to maximize returns with a dearth of supply?
  • Where will future retail product concentrate - larger mixed-use developments or in less concentrated pockets?
  • How does Atlanta compare to destination travel locations today in terms of hotel occupancy and performance?
  • What pockets outside of the urban center of the city are undersupplied and in demand for additional hotel development?
  • With the supply set to come online, how are the firms based in this market viewing the potential of additional development locally?
