Midtown and Downtown Atlanta present a unified front representing the Urban Center of the metro area. While they are tied and share certain similarities, there are key differentiators between these two neighborhoods. Midtown continues to lead the market at large in development activity with 2.6 Million square feet of office space 6,200+ residential units, 350+ hotel rooms, and 200,000 square feet of retail either planned or under construction. We will discuss future capacity in this bustling part of the city, and how much additional capacity exists for future growth.
Within Downtown, there is more momentum for major, market-altering developments than there has been in decades. With the backdrop of the World Cup coming to the area in 2026, billions of dollars are being invested in residential, hotel and mixed-use development. This event will cover the projects producing major waves in the market, what happens with some of the aging office stock present within the district, a push for more residential housing and what the area is doing to prepare for the largest stage it has been on since the 1996 Olympic Games.
