Mike Plant is in his 15th season with the Atlanta Braves, and in 2018 was named President and CEO of Braves Development Company. Plant joined the organization as Executive Vice President of Business Operations in November of 2003. As part of the Braves executive leadership team, Plant was instrumental in the Braves’ efforts to secure and oversee construction, leasing, financing and management of SunTrust Park and the adjacent mixed-use development, The Battery Atlanta, which opened in Cobb County in April 2017. Plant joined the Braves after having served as Executive Vice President of Turner Sports since February 2002. In that position, he was in charge of the day-to-day operations of the division, a $500-million acquisition, promotion and production company that at the time broadcast approximately 1,200 hours of sports programming on various Turner networks. Before becoming Executive Vice President of Turner Sports, Plant was President of Ted Turner’s multi-sport event, The Goodwill Games, and Vice President of Events for Turner Sports. He was responsible for the overall direction and management of The Goodwill Games, as well as all sports properties acquired by Turner Sports. Prior to joining Turner Sports, Plant was Owner and President of Medalist Sports, a full-service sports marketing company he founded in 1988. Medalist Sports created and operated premier professional cycling events in the United States and China. In addition, Plant was the Associate Executive Director of the United States Cycling Federation in Colorado Springs, Colo., from 1986 to 1988 and the Executive Director of the Canoe and Kayak Team from 1985 to 1986. Plant was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic speedskating team in Lake Placid, NY, and a six-time member of the U.S. World Championship speedskating teams. Since 1980, he has been appointed to numerous committees and boards for the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), the U.S. International Speedskating Association, International Cycling Federation, and USA Cycling. Plant served on the Atlanta Committee for the 1996 Olympic Games (ACOG) Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees for the Salt Lake City Olympic Bid Committee for the 2002 Winter Games. Plant served two eight-year terms on the USOC’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee (1984-1992 and 2003-2011). He was Chairman of the USOC Athletes Council, and Chairman of the Athlete Performance Group (1992-1996). Plant was President of USA Cycling, the National Governing Body for Olympic cycling, from 1995 to 2002, and is the current President of U.S. Speedskating. Internationally, Plant served on the International Cycling Federation’s (UCI) Executive Committee for 20 years, and was President of three different commissions. In 2009, Plant was elected U.S. Olympic Chef de Mission for the Olympic team for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. He and his wife Mary have two daughters, Erika and Maddie, and a son, Drew.

As Chief Investment Officer, Mike Altman directs Cortland's investment strategy with a focus on asset management. Mike joined Cortland in 2007 as a development associate and has played an integral role in growing the company, becoming Executive Vice President of Investments in 2010 before assuming his current role in 2013. Over the course of his career with Cortland, he has led many core aspects of the business that have directly influenced Cortland's evolution from a small development company to one of the leading companies in the multifamily industry, including capital raising and portfolio strategy. His expertise in Cortland’s growth provides a unique perspective on the value of vertical integration, the results of Cortland’s acquisition and renovation strategy, and the influence of a resident-centric approach within the apartment industry. Mike holds his master's degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University and his bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate broker and is associated with the Atlanta Multifamily Network and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Current Responsibilities Mr. Viente leads the Atlanta Region for JLL Office Agency Brokerage. As a top producer and leader, Mr. Viente brings 20 years of leasing and project marketing experience in Atlanta’s commercial real estate industry. He has successfully directed the lease up on over 20 million square feet of office assets in Atlanta. His focus is on office lease transactions, project marketing, business development and client relationship management, while directing a highly experienced team to create long-term value for office investor clients through a focus on client investment objectives, key market drivers, macroeconomic trends and capital market opportunities. Experience and Accomplishments Over his career Mr. Viente has become a market leader in repositioning and leasing up Class A and B assets as well as leading the marketing and leasing for new developments. A large portion of Mr. Viente’s agency leasing experience has come in trophy urban assets that include 3344, 3348 and 3350 Peachtree, Buckhead Tower, One Alliance Center, Midtown Union and Promenade II. Mr. Viente started his career with Jones Lang LaSalle in 1999 as a Market Research/ Financial Analyst and was responsible for all local market research in Atlanta. As such, he has extensive experience gathering market intelligence and can provide clients a more in-depth insight into trends and forecasts. Education and Affiliations Mr. Viente earned an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. Will Lovell, a native of Atlanta, is a senior business development officer at Stewart Title Guaranty Company. In his role, Will is responsible for ensuring smooth commercial real estate closings while maintaining and cultivating new business relationships across the country. Prior to joining Stewart, he was a partner at Hartman Simons & Wood in Atlanta where he specialized in commercial real estate law. Will holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a MBA from Ohio State University’s Fischer Business School and a J.D. from Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. Will is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Real Estate Group of Atlanta (REGA) and the Capital City Club. When he isn’t closing deals, he enjoys spending time with his wife Susannah and their three girls and participating in outdoor activities.
