Starr Cumming, Retail Director for Hines, is a commercial real estate executive with 26 years of comprehensive experience in the retail real estate industry in the areas of property management, development, marketing, placemaking and leasing. While working for Bayer Properties, Cousins Properties, The Rouse Company, General Growth Properties, North American Properties, and STARR Sales & Leasing LLC Starr oversaw tenant coordination, income generation, sales productivity, client relations, strategic planning, budget preparation, and property management for multiple assets throughout the U.S. For the past 20 years Starr has been primarily focused in the Specialty Leasing and Ancillary Revenue sector of the retail and mixed-use industry generating revenue for properties. Since joining Hines in 2015 Starr has grown the ancillary revenue at Atlantic Station 200%+. Starr is a 20+ year member of the ICSC and in 2021 Starr received the Connect CRE Women in Real Estate Award for Atlanta & Southeast for 2021 as well as was a nominee for the 2022 Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Best in Real Estate-Special Use award for the Overtime Elite Deal at Atlantic Station.

Greg has successfully led Peachtree in more than $8.5 billion in hotel acquisitions, investments, and development since co-founding the company in 2007. Greg has more than 23 years of hospitality experience with an emphasis on deal-structuring and financing. He was formerly Senior Vice President of Business Development for Specialty Finance Group, originating more than $2.0 billion of hotel debt. Greg is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is a board member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He also serves on the real estate fund advisory board for the Texas McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and he is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, a nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, D.C., that represents the interests of real estate.

Passionate about creating more real estate ownership and leadership diversity, Mary Beth founded Amara Capital in 2018, as a real estate DE&I investment platform for high-net worth women and minority investors to gain access into hospitality, multi-family real estate. Prior, Mary Beth served as EVP & Chief Development Officer at Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), a nationally recognized owner and operator of 58 full-service hotels and resorts and select-service hotels consisting of premium branded properties, independent boutique and lifestyle hotels between 2011 to 2021. With over 30+ years in the hospitality industry, Mary Beth has been actively involved in hotel real estate transactions and operations with an approximate valuation of $1.3+ Billion. During her 10+ year tenure at HVMG, Mary Beth led the Development Team with acquisitions, dispositions, new development, and third-party management agreements including deal sourcing, origination, underwriting, due diligence, and the selections of real estate investment opportunities. Since 2011 and under Mary Beth’s leadership, HVMG added over 90 new properties to the portfolio and the company’s annual revenues grew in access of 300% to exceed $280M+. David Marvin, founder and president of Legacy Ventures®, was an early believer in downtown Atlanta’s resurgence. Since making his first investment downtown in 1994, Marvin has developed $500 million in downtown real estate. Atlanta tested Legacy, but the firm has expanded its footprint regionally. In addition to development, Legacy today has hotel and restaurant operating divisions that employ roundly 1,000 people. Legacy’s in-house financial, marketing, design and construction teams represent collaborative resources for its development, asset management, and operations initiatives. Marvin’s professional career began as a graduate engineer on the docks of Electric Boat Naval Shipyard. Ten years into his career, Marvin transitioned from construction to real estate. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s of Science degree in Real Estate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and is active on several civic boards, including the Atlanta Rotary Club, Central Atlanta Progress, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District Board, Chair of ADID Interagency Law Enforcement Task Force, the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, the Georgia State University School of Hospitality’s Advisory Board, Partners for HOME Board and is the Founder/Chairman of the Centennial Park District®.

His approach embodies a commitment to communication, teamwork, and professionalism in putting forth sustainable and creative solutions for his projects. Mike provides the leadership and promotes an atmosphere of encouragement and respect for all parties to make projects successful. Brian D. Renshaw, CPA, is a Partner at Moore Colson in the firm’s Real Estate Practice. Brian has significant experience in the real estate and hospitality industries. In the Real Estate Practice, Brian works with registered investment advisors who construct, develop, own, lease, syndicate, advise and manage all classes of real estate assets. As part of the Real Estate Practice, Brian leads the firm’s hospitality group which focuses on hotels, resorts and restaurants. Brian is also a practice area leader in Moore Colson’s Employee Benefit Plan Practice. Brian works with a variety of employee benefit plans as well as plans required to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). During his 25 years of experience, Brian has been involved in many complex structures and transactions.
