Stephen Green has more than 35 years of experience in real estate and economic development projects in both the public and private sectors. He has worked effectively with a variety of public agencies, federal, state and local officials, and resident and community groups. His project management engagements have included market rate and affordable residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Mr. Green has also been involved in the development and financing of publicly owned and/or financed sports and hotel facilities. His work at The NHP Foundation also benefits from his extensive project financing experience including conventional financing, HUD-insured debt, tax credits, and tax-exempt bond financing.

Aubrey Hopkins is a Production Associate for Sabal Capital Partners, working on a diverse array of lending programs including Small Balance Multifamily, Targeted Affordable Housing, Bridge and CMBS for all commercial product types. She is an accomplished and driven leader specializing in challenging and unique assignments involving novel and complex deal structures, with a resulting track record of lucrative and long-term clients. Ms. Hopkins is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Maryland and, prior to joining Sabal Capital Partners, worked with Lee and Associates. She is currently a member of the CRE Finance Council, Mortgage Bankers Association, and serves as a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.

Kyle Speece joined Conifer Realty in 2017 and currently serves as Regional Vice President of Development. In this capacity, he is responsible for new business identification and all facets of project management for Conifer’s development efforts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Specifically, his responsibilities include: originating new affordable, mixed-income, and/or mixed-use development opportunities; identifying lending and equity sources for new projects; assembling and supervising all outside professionals; overseeing and coordinating the preparation and submission of funding applications; leading financial closings; ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules; and coordinating construction, lease-up, and management activities among departments of the Conifer organization. He allocates time between the Company’s offices in Columbia, MD, Mount Laurel, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.

Anne H. Schroth is a partner at the law firm of Reno & Cavanaugh PLLC. She serves as counsel to owners, developers and lenders in connection with the acquisition, development and financing of multifamily housing, healthcare facilities and mixed-use developments. She has closed numerous HUD-insured loans with condominium regimes, master lease structures and urban renewal projects involving historic tax credits. She also has experience combining multiple private and public funding sources, including conventional financing, tax increment financing, low-income housing tax credits, bonds, New Markets Tax Credits and public and private loans and grants. Before joining Reno & Cavanaugh Ms. Schroth worked as Senior Real Estate Counsel for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City. Ms. Schroth received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, an M.S.W. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice and a B.A. from Marquette University.

Daniel P. Henson, III has over thirty years of responsible positions in the management of large organizations. He has particularly specialized in successfully managing through difficult, complex situations. He understands well the principles of correcting troubled private and public sector organizations. From 1993 until 1999, he was the Executive Director of one of the Nation’s largest public housing authorities, as well as the Commissioner of Baltimore’s Department of Housing and Community Development. As such, he managed these agencies to one of the most spectacular turnarounds in recent housing agency history. After working his way through Morgan State University at General Motors Parts Division in Baltimore (including being elected union shop steward), Dan Henson taught junior high school social studies before joining Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a sales agent. He became a manager a few years later. He won virtually every honor in sales and sales management in the life insurance industry. In 1974 he became the Maryland general agent for the Guardian Life Insurance Company of New York. In 1977 he was appointed Regional Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration with offices in Philadelphia. A few years later, President Carter named Henson Director of the U.S. Minority Business Development Agency. In each of the instances of running federal offices, Henson was asked to turn around deeply troubled organizations and did so successfully. Returning home to Baltimore in 1981, he worked with the City’s premier business group, The Greater Baltimore Committee in developing programs to assist minority owned businesses including the Development Credit Fund, a $7.5 Million non-profit re-lender of funds provided by the local banks. He also worked as a vice president for G&M Oil Company and hosted a weekly television show in the mid 1980's. Henson joined Struever Bros. Eccles and Rouse as Vice President in 1984. He helped the company grow to become a major real estate developer and contractor in the Baltimore area and became a partner in 1990. He specialized in for sale housing and the adaptive reuse of historic structures for low and moderate-income rental housing. There are many buildings and communities in the Baltimore area with the “Henson touch” of high-level design and functional, built-in management plans for the long-term viability of the property. In addition to the for-profit activities, he also developed a plan to adapt the 100-year-old Orchard Street Church as the magnificent headquarters for the Baltimore Urban League and led the development team for the headquarters building of the Legal Aid Bureau in Baltimore’s Government Center. He also gained a thorough understanding of complex real estate financial transactions. In 1993, Mayor Kurt Schmoke asked Dan to join his administration in the dual roles of Commissioner of Housing and Community Development and Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC). HABC is the Nation’s fifth largest housing authority. In 1993 it had over 18,000 units of conventional public housing units and 5,000 Section 8 Certificates. Commissioner Henson laid out a plan for taking this near troubled agency (HABC scored in the low to mid-60’s on the PHMAP) and turning it around into a high performer. He laid out three core principles: rethink all of our housing stock; develop and implement a good neighbor policy for customers; and respect and retrain all of our colleagues. When he returned to the private sector in 1999, HABC ranked in the 80’s and was on the road to scoring 100% on the new PHAS. Beginning in 1993, under Henson’s leadership, HABC developed a national reputation as an aggressive competitor for resources to improve its housing stock consistent with the City’s overall redevelopment plan. As a product of public housing having grown up in Baltimore’s Poe homes, Henson appreciated the opportunity, to provide more functional and practical housing for lower income families. Henson formed a close alliance with the various resident groups in all of HABC’s forty public housing communities, but particularly in the four dense family high rise developments. In partnership with the residents, he developed a plan to demolish all four developments and to build mixed income communities on their sites and to replace the remainder of the units in lower density, low poverty communities. That plan originally required $293 Million. He partnered with the State of Maryland to contribute $65 Million and the City of Baltimore to put in $35 Million. The remainder was garnered in a series of high scoring responses to competitive HUD Notices of Funding Availability for the HOPE VI program. HABC was awarded a HOPE VI revitalization grant for the six consecutive years that Henson headed the agency. The public housing re-developments now had over $600 Million committed, with $176 Million from HUD’s HOPE VI program, the most of any city in the Nation. Additionally, Henson developed a comprehensive plan for the physical redevelopment of all HABC housing stock over the next ten years. Many of these developments utilize mixed finance plans including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, the Historic Tax Credit and Tax Exempt Bonds. In addition to the broad range of leadership roles he played as Commissioner, Henson has served as a board member of the Homebuilders Association of Maryland and the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities (CLPHA). He is currently Chairman of the Board of the National Organization of African Americans in Housing (NOAAH). He is also a member of the faculty of the University of Maryland at College Park School of Public Policy’s Housing Reform curriculum. Henson is the recipient of numerous national and local awards for his work in housing and community and economic development.

Daniel McCarthy has served as the executive director of the Episcopal Housing Corporation since 1996. EHC’s mission is three fold: to be a technical resource to Episcopal parishes and non-profit organizations wishing to pursue the development of affordable housing projects, to own and operate affordable housing and community facilities and to engage in community building projects through partnerships with neighborhood based partners. Mr. McCarthy has been employed in the field of housing and community development for over twenty years. He entered the field of community development with the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development after completing a Master of Arts program at the University of Maryland in Urban Studies with a focus on affordable housing finance and development. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, Mr. McCarthy began his professional career with the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington D.C. working as an economist. Mr. McCarthy began his career in affordable housing development with the Community Building Group of Baltimore where his primary responsibilities were construction management and sale of properties to first time home buyers in Baltimore and Prince George’s County. Mr. McCarthy was born in Rhode Island and now lives in Baltimore with his wife, Terry Staudenmaier, son Gabriel and daughter Margaret.

Stephen J Moore began his career as a 17 year old college student at the University of Maryland as a construction laborer and Assistant Project Developer for Stavrou Development and Construction, and worked nearly full time while attending college with a full schedule each semester. He quickly excelled in the organization and became Vice President of the development and construction companies and oversaw the day to day operations, while at one time managing over 70 employees, and creating new development opportunities. Mr. Moore created Foundation Development Group in 2013 to focus on developing multi family, senior, townhome and single family home communities. His role encompassed all aspects of the development, construction, ownership and asset management process. In 2018 Mr. Moore took an opportunity with Homes for America as their Development Director where he is responsible for all phases of development and new deal generation. Throughout his career his experience includes 9%, 4%, mixed income, market rate, rental and for sale transactions. Mr. Moore is a part of the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition and was former Chair of the Anne Arundel Affordable Housing Coalition.

Mary Beth Norwood, CPA, is the Co-Office Managing Partner of CohnReznick’s Baltimore office and has more than 26 years of experience. She provides audit, tax, and business advisory services for various organizations in the real estate and not-for-profit industries. Mary Beth represents a variety of businesses in the real estate industry, and her national client base includes not-for-profit and for-profit clients in a variety of real estate markets, including owners, developers and syndicators, commercial office and retail property, hotels, and assisted living facilities. She also assists clients with multifamily market rate properties and multifamily properties that involve HUD and state subsidized projects, the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), and the federal and state historic tax credit programs. Her services include consolidating and combining audited financial statements in accordance with various reporting requirements, such as HUD and OMB Circular A-133, as well as performing mortgagor, contractor, and tax credit cost certifications in accordance with federal or state agency reporting requirements. Mary Beth regularly provides consulting services for real estate concerns in the structuring and acquisition of projects; due diligence; and compliance with HUD, the LIHTC, and historic tax credit programs. Recognized for her outstanding accomplishments in her profession and community, Mary Beth was named to the Mount Saint Mary's University Dean's Circle of Excellence. Mary Beth is a certified public accountant in Virginia.

David Bowers is vice president and Mid-Atlantic market leader for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. His work includes facilitating affordable housing and community development transactions and policy implementation in collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas. His office provides access to financing, capacity building and technical assistance to local developers. Enterprise’s Mid-Atlantic office also participates with local coalitions advocating for increased resources for affordable housing and community development. Since David joined Enterprise in 2004, the organization has invested more than $800 million in capital to support affordable housing efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region, preserving or producing more than 11,000 homes. During David’s tenure, the office has been a co-initiator and co-convener of the Housing Leaders Group of Greater Washington, initiated several efforts including its Faith-Based Development Initiative, a transit-oriented preservation/resident displacement prevention initiative (GreenPATH) and the D.C. Green Communities Initiative. He currently serves on the board of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers. In 2004, David completed his service as a program manager for a single-family housing program at the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust. Prior to joining the trust, David was a financial and programs advisor at the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. In that position, he developed and managed CDFI’s compliance monitoring review system. Before that, he worked in the office of U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski, at the time the ranking member of the Senate VA-HUD Appropriations Committee. David served as the senator’s senior legislative assistant, with responsibility for analyzing and providing policy recommendations on legislation pending before various appropriations subcommittees. David earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his Master of Divinity degree from Howard University. He is an ordained minister and the founder of the all-volunteer NO MURDERS DC movement, launched in 2000. From 2013- 2015 David served as the mayoral appointee as chairman of the District of Columbia Housing Production Trust Fund Advisory Board. David is a founding member of the Greater Washington chapter of 100 Black Men and a member of Leadership Greater Washington (’09). David formerly served on the boards of the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, Thrive DC, City First Enterprises, City First Homes, Jubilee Housing and the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance. He is a former member of the District of Columbia’s Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals and the District of Columbia’s Juvenile Justice Advisory Group.
