As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Bowden oversees all debt and equity financing efforts for The Hanover Company, Mr. Bowden is involved in all aspects of acquisition, development, construction, management and finance. Prior to joining The Hanover Company, Mr. Bowden worked for Bank of America Securities Real Estate Investing Banking division where he performed corporate strategic and financial advisory services. Mr. Bowden also has experience with L.J. Melody where he provided advisory services on structured debt financing. Mr. Bowden earned his BA from Dartmouth College.

Thomas Fish co-leads the Real Estate Investment Banking (REIB) practice which is part of the Jones Lang LaSalle Capital Markets Group. As Executive Managing Director, Tom focuses on both growing the REIB platform as well as the origination of debt and equity capital for projects and clients located throughout the U.S. Mr. Fish has specifically advised clients on more than $10 billion of debt/equity origination and/or product disposition over the past ten years. The REIB practice incorporates debt/equity origination, investment sales, loan/note sales, advisory services, loan workouts & modification and asset resolution services. Mr. Fish and the REIB practice’s focus is on the sourcing of capital for acquirers and owners of real estate and keeping existing owner and lender clients apprised of the ever-changing capital markets. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle Capital Markets, Tom was with CBRE/ L.J. Melody & Company for 14 years where he served as Vice Chairman. Prior to that he was a co-owner of Post Oak Partners, a Houston-based real estate finance firm. Tom has extensive experience in structuring and arranging debt, equity joint ventures, participating debt and other structured finance transactions. Other experience includes financing to-be-built developments as well as dispositions of institutional quality real estate.

Rhonda J. Sands is a Frost senior vice president and relationship manager serving customers in the Houston region. Rhonda has 39 years of industry experience. Her wealth of knowledge coupled with her expertise help build strong banking relationships with her customers and colleagues. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and an MBA, Rhonda’s commitment to continued learning and leadership development is evident through her involvement with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network, both as a member and by serving on the board. Her community involvement includes the Advisory Board for Women’s Resource of Greater Houston, and Treasurer of St. Philip Presbyterian Church. In addition to helping Frost grow and prosper through her strong interpersonal skills and her vast product knowledge, Rhonda enjoys spending time playing golf and summertime hiking in the mountains.

As Chief Investment Officer for Bay Mountain Capital, Will's role includes directing an origination team responsible for sourcing and evaluating new debt investment opportunities across all asset classes, including non-owner occupied single family. In addition, Will is leading business development efforts to grow the firm by increasing loan volume and assets under management. Before Bay Mountain Capital, Will served as Vice President of Portfolio Management for Colony Capital. During his time there, Will managed a team accountable for underwriting and verification of risk associated with distressed commercial real estate debt while also working with delinquent borrowers to restructure and resolve non-performing debt. Additionally, Will was responsible for the value creation and disposition of commercial real estate across multiple portfolios, as well as management of hospitality constructions loans in the Southeast. Earlier in his career, Will worked as a Real Estate Financial Consultant for IPL Consulting, a Financial Analyst for Gables Residential and a Senior Associate for Transwestern Realty Finance Partners. Will has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Real Estate and Urban Land Economics program and a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also currently involved with multiple real estate industry groups including, Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA).

Mr. Miller has completed more than $4.0 billion in real estate transactions in his 30 year career. He has extensive experience in sourcing and placing both U.S. and international capital. Mr. Miller is responsible for executing IRE’s investment strategy for larger portfolio acquisitions, recapitalizations and programmatic investing in the western U.S. Prior to joining IRE, Mr. Miller was Executive Vice President for Internacional Realty and Royalton Real Estate Capital. He was the founder and President of Meridian Global Investors and prior to Meridian, Mr. Miller was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Lehndorff USA Group of Companies. Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University and is a current member of ULI and ICSC.

Darrell L. Betts, CCIM is a Principal with the Capital Markets group of Avison Young and is in charge of the representation for dispositions of investment properties owned by financial institutions, pension funds, REIT’s and private investors. Darrell began his commercial real estate career over 30 years ago and was recruited by Avison Young in 2010 to lead the company's Capital Markets practice in Texas and the Southwest U.S. Over the past three decades, Darrell facilitated over $5 billion worth of real estate transactions. Numerous times throughout his career, the Houston Business Journal named Betts a "Heavy Hitter of Commercial Real Estate, including 2017." Among other awards, Darrell was listed in Commercial Property News’ 2005 Hot Brokers of America and Top Producer for another leading firm for eight years. Darrell was Avison Young's 2011 top producer in the U.S. for Capital Markets and has been presented with the Circle of Excellence award recognizing the top producers globally for 2017. Mr. Betts is involved in various civic affairs and is currently active in such organizations as the Houston Association of Realtors and the Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter. He has taught in the Junior Achievement Program at local high schools and is a board member of the Contemporary Art Museum in Houston, TX.

Mr. Rivas joined Allied Realty in 2001 and he has successfully directed or assisted the acquisition/development of over 2,300 multifamily units for a total aggregate value of over $240 million. Mr. Rivas’ responsibilities include all aspects of managing Allied Realty’s multifamily investment businesses that include acquisition and development. Mr. Rivas oversees the acquisition and disposition of assets, market feasibility, site selection, project design, permitting, construction management, and project financing. Mr. Rivas formed and oversees Allied’s first private equity fund launched in 2013 to develop multi-family assets in the major metropolitan areas of Texas. Mr. Rivas’ professional affiliations include being a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) Emerging Leaders Committee, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Houston Apartment Association (HAA). A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Rivas is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and he is currently C.P.A. eligible while pursuing his Master of Science in Accountancy at the University of Houston. Mr. Rivas received his M.B.A. from the University of North Alabama. He is a also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of North Alabama and was named All-Gulf South Conference and Academic All-Gulf South Conference for two consecutive years as a 4-year member of the Men’s Varsity Tennis team (both as player and Assistant Coach).

Tenel was Chief Investment Officer of AmREIT, starting there in 2003. With over $3 billion of real estate transactions, Tenel started his real estate career in 1992 at Granite Properties and then The Woodlands Development Company before working at AmREIT. Tenel lead the formation of AmREIT’s industry-leading, highest quality portfolio and also sourced property level debt and joint venture equity.

Matthew’s background includes nearly 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry spanning brokerage, management, development and investment services. He brings a unique perspective and a creative approach to every challenge, and he fosters an internal culture of mentorship and continuous growth. A well-respected Houston real estate professional, Matthew has worked transactions and projects cumulatively valued at over $700 million throughout his career and has overseen Belvoir’s rapid organic growth since 2012. He holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. In 2018, Matthew was named to the Board of Trustees for The Council on Recovery. Along with his wife Meredith and their two daughters, he is active at St. Michael Catholic Church.
