Representing the 4th generation of his family in the L.A. entertainment industry, Jason started at Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios, later overseeing global production operations and real estate for Netflix. Jason is a partner and Chief Studio & Real Estate Officer for The MBS Group and head of global studio acquisitions and strategy for MBS’s affiliate company Hackman Capital Partners (HCP-MBS), together the world’s largest studio owner, operator, developer and production equipment provider, servicing 900+ high-end film & TV projects per year across 600+ soundstages in seven countries. HCP-MBS owns and operates over 10 million square feet of the world’s most iconic first-call studio real estate, including 130 sound stages with a further 80 sound stages currently in development. For HCP-MBS, Jason is the team leader responsible for growing the Studio and Media Platform globally through acquisitions, studio service agreements, global logistics partnerships, studio design and development, and management. Jason was previously Head of Worldwide Studio & Production Operations for Netflix, where he was responsible for 1,000+ productions per year, overseeing global Production Planning & Strategy, Production Services, SEHS, and Global Real Estate divisions, including acquisitions, leasing, construction, and development. Jason created and executed Netflix’s “hub-and-spoke” strategy, which established the largest production infrastructure footprint in the content industry. Prior, Jason was Head of Media & Entertainment for publicly traded REIT, Hudson Pacific Properties, where he oversaw the revitalization and management of the then-largest independent studio platform in the United States. He has also spent nearly 20 years consulting domestic and international governments and businesses on film & TV incentive programs. Jason is a former Board Member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce & The Walk of Fame, was Board President of the Hollywood Police Activities League, is a Fellow of London’s Royal College of Art and the London Mayor’s Innovation Task Force, is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys) and Co-Chairman of the Producers Guild of America’s FilmUSA Committee, the preeminent media industry advocate and authority on production infrastructure and incentives. From 2008-2011 Jason also served as an appointed Advisor for Film & Media Industries to former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

Mike Mosallam is an award-winning producer and entertainment executive with nearly 20 years of experience in creative development, physical production, and the leasing, development, and operations of studio production facilities. He is currently Head of Studio Strategy and Operations for Apple. Mike began his career as the first head of the Wayne County Film Office in Detroit Michigan, where he oversaw nearly 80% of all production activity in the State. In 2011, Mike moved to Los Angeles to become the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Sunset Studios portfolio, overseeing 33 sound stages and approximately 1.5MM SF of production and creative office in the heart of Hollywood. Mike helped revitalize the historic studio lots by developing relationships with key industry talent, including Shonda Rhimes, Aaron Sorkin, and Amy Sherman-Palladino. In 2017, Mike was tasked with creating a newly minted division at Netflix called Production Planning. At Netflix, he led a team responsible for global facilities planning and strategy, coordinating a robust slate of both self- and partner-managed productions and helping to grow Netflix’s studio portfolio to over 140 soundstages globally. In 2020, he joined the Apple Studios/ Apple TV+ team to oversee a new division called Studio Strategy and Operations where he grew the studio portfolio over 900% during the first 30 months. Mike is active in his community, serving on the Boards of Outfest, Noor Theatre, and actively teaching musical theatre workshops to high school and college students in his spare time. He has consulted on productions for major production companies and streaming services around the world, and recently won a Tony Award as a Co-Producer on the 2023 Broadway production of Parade (Best Revival of a Musical). Above all, the terrific friendships he has made are his favorite part of Hollywood.

Shep is responsible for leading East End’s West Coast operations and its production studio platform. In his role as Managing Partner, he sources value-add office and residential opportunities in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Seattle markets, as well as studio opportunities throughout North America and Europe. Before joining East End, Shep was a Senior Vice President at KBS where he oversaw and directed the origination, underwriting financing and closing activities for acquisitions and joint venture opportunities. Prior to KBS, he spent seven years as Managing Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Savanna, where he oversaw a team of asset managers and ran the daily operations for a 3 million square foot portfolio. In 1995, Shep co-founded Cosi, Inc. and developed the chain into a nationally recognized brand with over 100 restaurants in 11 states. His primary responsibility was overseeing real estate development and leasing for the business. After taking the brand public in 2002, Shep left the company to focus on development projects in New York City. He graduated cum laude from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.

Eric Komar is the VP, of Master Planning & Development at Fox Corporation, where he leads the FOX FUTURE master plan for the Fox Studio Lot in Century City. Previously, he led real estate & development efforts for a public agency in Sacramento and advised on real estate matters for a major research university. He has been actively involved in organizations such as the Urban Land Institute, Association of University Real Estate Officials, and numerous efforts to promote affordable housing and smart growth. Originally from the East Coast, he is a graduate of the University of Delaware and attended Pepperdine University for his MBA.

Brian joined Hackman Capital Partners in 2018 and serves as Executive Vice President – Development and Planning. In this role, Brian creates innovative visions, implementable strategic plans, and long-term, resilient frameworks, working collaboratively with communities, cities, and industry experts. Brian came to Hackman Capital as a Design Director from Gensler, where he worked on several Hackman Capital projects, including The Culver Studios and 888 Douglas in El Segundo. A recognized Practitioner of Urban Design, Brian has led and collaborated on the design of over 100 million square feet across the globe ranging from urban infill mixed-use properties to sports-anchored entertainment districts and media production studios. Brian has won numerous design awards, including professional recognitions bridging AIA, APA, and ASLA and was named as a Top 40 Under 40 by ENR California in 2017. Brian received his undergraduate degree in City and Regional Planning with a Minor in Sustainable Environments from California Polytechnic State University. San Luis Obispo, and a Masters in Urban Design from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

Nick has more than 9 years of experience in commercial real estate investing with experience spanning acquisitions (equity and debt), development, construction and dispositions in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and various other markets. Nick has closed more than $8 billion of transactions ranging in size from $25 million to $3.5 billion across various property types including studio, industrial, life sciences, multifamily residential, office and retail. Nick spent four years in New York City with Oxford Properties Group before relocating to Los Angeles in late 2019 to establish Oxford’s local office. Nick has led the formation and implementation of Oxford’s global studio initiative the past three years and has an BA in Economics from Colgate University (‘14).

As Executive Vice President, Eric leads the Building Construction operations in Southern California for AECOM Hunt. With over 30 years of experience, he brings leadership and expertise in preconstruction services, cost control, client relationships, project delivery, and efficient management of complex projects. Within the past few years, AECOM Hunt has become a leader in studio construction in the Los Angeles market. In addition to working for AECOM Hunt for more than 25 years, Eric also served for five years as President of Construction and Development for a national real estate development company. Throughout his career, he has been an integral part of developing and building several billion dollars’ worth of large, iconic structures across the country. In addition to studio campuses, his experience has encompassed multiple building types including sports, entertainment and convention facilities, luxury residential, hospitality, multi-family, office, and mixed-use.

Nicole Mihalka joined Jones Lang LaSalle’s Downtown Los Angeles office in 2012. Previously, she was a Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield, and brings with her more than eighteen years of experience in tenant and landlord representation, with a focus on creative office and entertainment-industry related real estate. Prior to joining C&W, she was a Vice President at DAUM Commercial Real Estate. Nicole prides herself in her proactive and creative marketing approach, responsiveness, persistence, and her excellent relationship with the brokerage community. A sampling of her client list includes Kilroy Realty Corporation, CIM Group, Clarion Partners and Gaw Capital. Nicole is also committed to non-profit efforts in the communities in which she transacts, and has worked tirelessly on their behalf. Nicole graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland College Park. She served for many years as Chair of the Hollywood Economic Development Committee and is currently the Treasurer of the Board of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. She is a Board Member of the Hollywood YMCA and also Chair of the Hermon Neighborhood Council. She was recently named one of L.A.’s Power Women in Real Estate by Bisnow, and is the lead of JLL’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN).

Nick Smerigan has been in the entertainment business for over 40 years in the areas of facility design, construction management, operations, sales, marketing, consulting and providing due diligence for real estate development for both private and institutional investors. A trademark of RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. is its financial analysis of both construction and operations prior to commencement. Currently RoadTown is designing two new projects, one in The Republic Of Georgia and one in state of New Mexico. Concurrently, RoadTown provides design, marketing and operations consulting for Atlanta Metro Studios, a 245,000 square foot full service production facility 15 miles south of Atlanta. In addition to the Atlanta Metro Studios project, RoadTown just finished consulting on the expansion and warehouse renovation for Second Line Studios in New Orleans. RoadTown was just recently hired to provide a feasibility study along with layout and design for Augusta Studios in Georgia. RoadTown also provided the layout and design for East End Capital and Nextgen on 4 stages in Los Angeles and 1 in New York, Mission Studios, Griffith Studios, Glendale Studios, Quixote Studios and Sunny Side Studios in New York. Other recent projects that are in development include The Fields Studios and The Regal Studios - both located in Chicago, and Altmark Studios in The Bronx section of New York and providing consulting services for CBS Television City in Los Angeles. Another past project is the Burbank, California based Media Toaster, an entertainment technology company, designed and engineered to create and deliver content for filmed entertainment implementing uniquely reimagined media workflows. The company was conceived and started by Smerigan and another partner and was recently sold. Additionally, RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. designed and built the $91 million Albuquerque Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a 420,000 square foot facility that includes 8 sound stages, two mills and 100,000 square feet of production office space on a 28-acre site. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. was hired to manage the facility and provide marketing and sales on a daily basis for 5 years. The anchor tenant to the studio is the Reelz Channel, which continues to broadcast from the facility. Albuquerque Studios was recently acquired by Netflix. Smerigan, under the RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. Banner also built The Atlanta Film Studios Paulding County, providing design and construction management for the 90,000 square foot facility. Atlanta film Studios has 2 -20,000 square foot sound stages, over 12,000 square feet of production office space and a 40,000 square foot construction mill. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. opened the Mississippi Film Studios @ Canton, in Canton, Mississippi a 40,000 square foot purpose built sound stage the first in the state of Mississippi. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. provided design and construction management services to the facility as well as sales, marketing and operations. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. provided financial, operational and construction design due diligence for the IFC, an arm of the World Bank, on a $60 million studio project in the Dominican Republic. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. partnered with Skye Partners, Inc. to purchase and operate “The Lot”, the former Warner Hollywood Studios, a $65 million facility located in West Hollywood. Smerigan was responsible for the design and construction management of the two 11,000 square foot stages, and the complete remodel of the 155,000 square foot office tower at the 10950 facilities. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. also provided operations management and sales and marketing to the facility. The NFL Channel is the main client at 10950 and currently broadcasts its station from both stages. RoadTown Enterprises, LTD. and Smerigan provided design and construction management services for Stage M on the Paramount Lot, which was the premier film scoring stage. The legendary Record Plant Recording Studios in Los Angeles is where Smerigan built the first surround sound recording studio.

Stan Washington, president & CEO of Pantheon Business Consulting LLC – is the developer and project executive for overall property management, pre-development, programming, development and construction. He is a business leader and entrepreneur who has been a member of the financial services community for more than 30 years. As the former chairman of LA INC. (The LA Conventions & Visitors Bureau), under his leadership the first U.S. Office of Tourism in China by the City of LA along with the launch of the “Dine LA” restaurant program. As former chairman of LASEC (LA Sports & Entertainment Commission), he helped to further establish the commission as a key force in the city’s selection of key events, including the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star, Grammy’s and other major events and conventions. While working at American Express as vice president/general manager Western Region, Washington managed over $50 billion in annual charge volume and led growth initiatives within multiple industries, including entertainment, fashion, restaurant, wine, lodging, aerospace, gaming and technology throughout the Western United States and Micronesia, including the launch of the American Express Hawaii Card and Staples Center Founding Strategic Partnership. Washington is currently on the board of trustees of Morehouse College; the advisory board chair of The Center by Lendistry; the advisory council of Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI); as well as board member of the LA Urban League and the Velocity99 STEM Program.

Founded in a bungalow on the back lot of the Siren Studios campus in Hollywood, Relativity Architects’ first major project was Siren’s “Cube,” a 40-foot-tall space regarded as the tallest "poured-in-place" concrete walled building on the West coast. During the ensuing decade, RA Founder and Principal, Tima Bell, Assoc. AIA, has led Relativity’s studio design and development division. With a show-business family background, Tima understands studios’ physical needs as well as the refined amenities facility managers need to maximize bookings. Relativity’s Los Angeles portfolio includes Dancing With the Stars’ rehearsal/B-roll space, Buzzfeed’s production campus, East End Studios, and the Output recording studio. Relativity has also designed production studios and campuses in Atlanta, New York, Canada, and Europe. Further, Tima has provided expert insights into studio design to The Hollywood Reporter, among other media outlets. In addition to its success with studio construction, RA has a viable hand in Affordable and Multi-Family Housing typologies. The firm has received multiple awards for their Affordable Housing designs. Most recently, 7th + Witmer Apartments won the Los Angeles Business Council's Outstanding Affordable Multifamily Project Award in 2022.

Danny Kim has over 25 years of professional hands-on experience in technology environments. He has been a principal consultant at PLANNET for over 5 years now. Prior to PLANNET, Danny held multiple high-level Executive-level IT positions such as Director of IT Special Projects at Riot Games, Global Senior Director of IT Service Management at Electronic Arts, and Director of IT at Pandemic Studios. He has a broad range of experience in highly specialized industry areas such as eSports facilities, broadcast production, video game development, sound stages, and motion capture video/audio production. Danny is also one of the few consultants in the world who is an expert at planning and designing for eSports tournaments and shows. His experience reaches across mobile (IOS/Android), PC, console, and online gaming and analyzes their relationship with power, data, and bandwidth and how each of these effects user experiences. Furthermore, Danny is an expert in the assessment of technological longevity, connectivity, and implementation within a building’s ecosystem. He utilizes his knowledge of applications to analyze a building’s usage in real time, which aids in sustainability efforts along with constant improvement to the functionality of a building. Danny leverages his extensive technology experience into the delivery of creative yet cost effective system solutions to clients.
