Arden leads Trumark Urban projects from property acquisition through buildout and sales. From working with architects and consultants on building design and meeting with neighbors regarding their needs for a project, to hard hat tours of job sites and reviewing financial analyses of projects—Arden has his finger on the pulse of every aspect of Trumark Urban. Since joining Trumark in 2006, Arden has been instrumental in over $1.5 billion of residential and mixed-use development. In 2012, Arden led the effort to launch Trumark Urban where he now manages a pipeline of over 1 million square feet, and an over $1 billion investment in office, mixed-use, and residential development projects. Prior to his role at Trumark Urban, he served as Senior Vice President for Northern California at Trumark Companies.

T.J. Lehman is Vice President of Development at Mack Urban, managing all facets of a project’s conception and creation. For over a decade, T.J. has coordinated the development of a wide range of real estate projects in major West Coast and Mid-Atlantic markets. T.J.’s projects have included well over 2,500 high-rise, mid-rise, and garden-style apartment homes, supportive housing for seniors, affordable communities and projects with hospitality and retail components. Prior to joining Mack Urban, T.J. was a founding partner of Euclid Development which worked on a number of market-rate and affordable projects in the Seattle area. Preceding his work at Euclid, T.J. was a partner with Holland Development, managing high-rise projects in Seattle and Los Angeles, including the 220-unit M Street and significant portions of Holland’s 8-acre, mixed-use, mixed-income neighborhood in Central City West in downtown Los Angeles. Before joining Holland, T.J. structured low-income-housing tax credit communities with The Shelter Group, a Baltimore-based developer that builds communities for a wide range of incomes and needs. He also worked in public finance with Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley’s administration. Originally from Georgia, T.J. graduated from Duke University with a degree in economics and a Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Maryland. He lives in the Seattle neighborhood of Wallingford with his family.

Justin is a Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) market expert, with 11 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing and sales. As former Associate Director of Economic Development for the Downtown Center Business Improvement District and Central City Association and currently as Vice President of brokerage at Kennedy Wilson, Justin’s passion for a better DTLA is exemplified in his deep knowledge of the area’s history, strong relationships with local stakeholders, and track record of transactional success.CAREER HISTORYDuring his five-year tenure at the DCBID, Justin successfully recruited hundreds of retailers, developers, hotels, office tenants and residents to DTLA, while playing an active role in laying the political groundwork for DTLA’s renaissance. In that time, he and his partner, Lee Shapiro, have successfully completed over 590,000 square feet of retail, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, and creative office space transactions in DTLA. Given his boots-on-the-ground market expertise, Justin has also been engaged to represent numerous notable office tenants.In 2019 and 2020, the Los Angeles Business Journal named Justin one of L.A.’s 500 Most Influential People.

Mark R. Hartney is the former co-chair of the firm's Construction Practice Group. His practice centers on real estate, construction and business litigation, including contract, partnership, banking, land use, rent valuation, habitability and administrative claims. Additionally, Mark negotiates and drafts complex construction, architect and engineer contracts. By way of his focus on both construction contracts and litigation, Mark is uniquely qualified to provide clients with broad advice and counsel on all aspects of construction projects. Mark represents individuals as well as a variety of business entities, and has extensive trial and alternative dispute resolution experience. His experience includes co-chairing a nine-month $150 million jury trial stemming from the collapse of a high-rise resort hotel, numerous other state court trials, dozens of arbitrations and many cases resolved through mediation. He has represented clients before various federal, state, city and county boards and agencies. He has extensive experience in representing businesses in administrative hearings and writ actions involving contracts with public agencies.

Chris Atkinson brings 25 years of commercial real estate experience across a broad range of commercial real estate disciplines. His background includes the completion of over 750 sale and lease transactions with an aggregate value of over $800,000,000. A large component of Chris’ career has also included the acquisition and development of industrial, office, business parks, mixed-use and multi-family residential properties with a total market value exceeding $600,000,000. This experience has provided Chris with the unique ability to understand real estate from an owner’s perspective in the development, acquisition, brokerage and management of commercial real estate. Prior to forming Pacific Property Partners, Chris served as President of the Charles Dunn Company leading over 100 employees in 9 offices throughout Southern California, San Francisco, San Diego and Phoenix. During his tenure with Charles Dunn, Chris coordinated the formation of a vertical platform of services including brokerage, property and asset management, financial services and landlord and tenant representation practices. Chris implemented a detailed plan focused on increasing production through a high-level, revised approach geared to providing clients with a fully integrated menu of real estate services. He also uncovered and eliminated operational inefficiencies and redundancy resulting in significant bottom line profitability. Chris began his commercial real estate career as a broker with CBRE representing buyers/tenants, owners and developers. After 10 years, Chris expanded his skills when recruited by Trammell Crow to grow its national scope of brokerage and development services in the Inland Empire region. After a number of years with Trammell Crow Company, Chris co-founded Bates Development Company. Chris and his partners entitled, developed and owned numerous mixed-use, office, multi-family and industrial properties along with the acquisition and entitlement of several hundred acres throughout southern California. Chris also directed all the brokerage and management services. His talents and entrepreneurial spirit have allowed him to succeed in a wide variety of organizations and business roles. He prides himself on promoting an enjoyable and productive workplace founded on team and individual goal achievement, but most of all trying to outperform his client’s expectations. Chris has received numerous achievement awards, led educational seminars, and been a featured speaker at industry events.

Javier Cano is Vice President and Market General Manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, as well as the Courtyard and Residence Inn Los Angeles L.A. LIVE. Born in Los Angeles, Cano brings more than 38 years of hospitality experience to his role, with 36 of those years spent in The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International family. As vice president and market general manager, Cano has been instrumental in advocating the ongoing renaissance of downtown Los Angeles and Marriott’s position within this burgeoning market. He currently oversees all aspects of hotel operations for the L.A. LIVE properties, including sales, guest relations, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, and staff development. Before joining the opening team at L.A. LIVE, Cano served as the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii, overseeing all aspects of the 548-room, AAA Five Diamond resort for nearly five years. Prior to that, he served as the area general manager for the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel, and in 2001, was named “General Manager of the Year” for the Western Region. This marked the second time Cano was awarded this title; he was also the Western Region’s “General Manager of the Year” in 1999 while at the Marina Beach Marriott. In 2012, Cano received the prestigious “General Manager of the Year” award, recognizing his leadership at L.A. LIVE among Marriott and Ritz-Carlton properties throughout the Americas, Caribbean and Canada. An active and committed community leader involved with numerous charity efforts, Cano led the L.A. LIVE hotels to receive the “Alice S. Marriott Award for Community Service” in both 2012 and 2014. During his tenure with the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel, the property was recognized with a “Spirit to Serve” award given by Marriott International for outstanding community service. Additionally, in 2001 he was named “Volunteer of the Year” for Los Angeles County by the L.A. County Board of Supervisors for his work on several educational and service-oriented boards. Cano has served on the board of the local convention and visitor’s bureau (CVB) in essentially every city in which he has lived, and was instrumental with the creation of the Marina del Rey CVB. He is currently active with the Los Angeles Tourism Convention Bureau, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Collins College of Hospitality Management Board, Los Angeles Rotary Club California Hospital Medical Center Foundation and Los Angeles Tourism Marketing District. Cano also is honored to be part of Marriott’s General Manager Advisory Committee, providing mentorship and counsel for property leadership throughout the brand.

As Project Director for Los Angeles Streetcar, Inc. (LASI), I work with our board of directors and City partners to advance the Downtown LA Streetcar project. I oversee our legal counsel, technical consultants, and the preliminary engineering team, and manage our CRA/LA grant and other funding sources. Other responsibilities include coordinating the development of the environmental impact report with City departments, advising on and supporting strategic policy, and assisting with outreach to the public and other key stakeholders.

Edward Twining, Jr. is Owner and Chairman of Twining, Inc., one of California's leading engineering, materials testing and inspection companies. He provides strategic leadership to the growth and development of the company. Mr. Twining oversees management practices and provides executive oversight to the leadership team.
