Melford Town Center is a 466-acre comprehensive mixed-use community located at US Rt. 50 and MD Rt. 3/301 in Bowie, midway between Annapolis and Washington, D.C. To date St. John Properties has constructed over 1 million sq. ft. of Class ‘A’ office, flex/R&D and retail space at Melford. The residential component of Melford Town Center will feature more than 1,400 multifamily units upon completion, with the Tribute at Melford a 140-unit senior living community and The Aspen a 388-unit luxury apartment building now open. Three on-site hotels are planned, with a Courtyard by Marriott now open.

Brandon Bellamy

Brandon Bellamy is a passionate and purpose-driven real estate entrepreneur and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Velocity Companies. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Bellamy has excelled in real estate investment, real estate development, and private fund management. He has won numerous industry awards, including the Globe Street Opportunity Award, The Daily Record Excellence in Construction and Real Estate 2020 Developer of the Year Award, and FSC First Minority Business of the Year Award. Mr. Bellamy couples a unique knowledge of market-rate and affordable housing development and a superior understanding of financial engineering to impact existing and developing communities. During his tenure at The Velocity Companies, the firm has developed and consulted on projects located in the Mid-Atlantic and the Carolinas with an aggregate asset value exceeding $500 million. Mr. Bellamy specializes in municipal financing, tax increment financing, tax-exempt bonds, joint venture transaction and financing, public-private partnerships, planned community development and redevelopment, and an innovative way of researching emerging markets. Under Mr. Bellamy’s leadership, The Velocity Companies has built a team of professionals that specialize in assisting clients in real estate investment and property development activities by analyzing real estate development and conceiving investment opportunities. Driven by their commitment to providing a significant impact in under-invested communities, the Velocity team boldly pursues projects that champion the health and vitality of local economies through meaningful development. In July 2020, Mr. Bellamy became the only African American majority owner of a professional baseball team in the country. He is also the founder and principal broker for The Republic Real Estate Group and has been a featured speaker at numerous seminars on underserved communities. Julia Stevenson

Julia Stevenson leads Langdon Park Capital's investment activities across the United States and has direct responsibility for the firm's acquisition strategies. Stevenson is deeply involved in sourcing, capitalizing, and structuring new investment opportunities. She is also responsible for growing and maintaining key relationships across LPC’s footprint. Stevenson sits on Langdon Park Capital's Investment Committee and is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Stevenson has nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate development and finance. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Stevenson deployed capital for LISC Strategic Investments, the impact fund management platform for the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC). At LISC Strategic Investments she had a national footprint and established relationships across several affiliate and subsidiary entities of LISC during her tenure. Prior to LISC, she was Vice President of Investments at Banneker Ventures, a Black-owned real estate company based in the DMV. Her responsibilities included underwriting support to development managers, capitalization of development deals, and oversight of the company's overall cost of capital and debt strategy. Stevenson’s primary role as VP of Banneker Capital (a to be formed related entity) required her to establish the foundation for an impact-focused investment management platform. Prior to Banneker, she was a senior Portfolio Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Group at Eagle Bank, where she oversaw a $400 million portfolio of commercial real estate loans and underwrote debt transactions across all property types and stages of development: construction and pre-construction, commercial, multifamily, single-family, land development and bridge financing. She began her career in commercial real estate development as an Assistant Project Manager for Gotham Development (based in DC and Baltimore) before joining Howard County Housing (now Department of Housing and Community Development) as an Associate in Development Finance and Project Management. Stevenson serves as a Director on the Boards for the DC Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and African American Real Estate Professionals (AAREP). She is also an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and an engaged supporter of the Urban Land Institute. Stevenson received her Masters of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University.

Levar Crooms

LeVar Crooms currently holds the esteemed position of Market President at United Bank, where he oversees the Arlington and Alexandria markets. In this role, his responsibilities encompass strategically driving both commercial and retail production while ensuring the profitability and sustained growth of these markets. Crooms plays a pivotal leadership role in managing public relations efforts for Arlington and Alexandria, while also representing United Bank in the community through active participation in civic affairs and professional organizations. Before joining United Bank, Crooms spent a decade at M&T Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Division. During his tenure, he successfully financed over $2 billion worth of residential and commercial projects in the Greater Washington DC area. His clientele ranged from institutional to middle-market and family office companies. Crooms's exceptional performance was consistently acknowledged, earning him the President's Council Sales Award four times within M&T Bank's Commercial Banking Division. His leadership and contributions to the Greater Washington community were further recognized with prestigious accolades including the 2022 Washington Business Journal 40 under 40 and the 2023 Northern Virginia Leadership Center for Excellence 40 under 40 awards. Crooms embarked on his professional journey at BB&T in 2006, where he completed the commercial credit training program. Within two years, he rose to manage a team of eleven before progressing to a portfolio manager, and ultimately a relationship manager. Beyond his professional endeavors, LeVar is actively engaged in various boards and committees. He serves as a Board Member of NAIOP (National Association for Industrial and Office Parks) Northern Virginia chapter since 2020, contributing his expertise to the Education Committee. He was recently appointed to the Board of Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, the nation’s largest organization that teaches young people about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Previously, he held board positions with the Urban Financial Services Coalition DMV Chapter (2016-2019) and the Dr. William T. Syphax Education Foundation (2019-2023), where he served as Secretary and Vice Chairman. Crooms is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. LeVar graduated with honors from Johnson C. Smith University in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. When not immersed in his professional pursuits, LeVar finds joy in family life, residing in Arlington, VA, with his wife Anshia and their son Zachariah. Crooms is an avid traveler and enjoys reading.
