Northstar Center

Northstar Center is one the most iconic and historically important properties in Minneapolis. In 1963, Northstar Center pioneered the concept of a “City Within a City” with its innovative mixed-use design and convenience. Built on a full city block, the property laid the groundwork for what a future workplace could be in a downtown business district. Unlike anything before its time, the property offered a place for business, dining, lodging, entertainment, and parking to all co-exist all under one roof in a curated, design-conscious environment - with glass-enclosed skyways connecting the complex to the rest of downtown Minneapolis. Today, Northstar Center maintains its immense importance to the City of Minneapolis due to its scale and location in the epicenter of the CBD. Northstar Center has recently undergone a $250M mixed-use redevelopment that repositions it for the 21st Century, while paying homage to one of the most historically important buildings in the Twin Cities. That redevelopment introduces a 35,000+ SF public-facing meetings facility, 216 residential units, 218 newly renovated hotel keys, 970 parking stalls, more than half a dozen restaurants, 80,000+ SF of pre-built workplace, all serviced by a progressive hospitality platform.
