Two Day International Life Sciences Real Estate Conference in Montgomery County

Setting the Stage
This event is at the intersection of the biotech and commercial real estate industries and will cover the latest trends, developments, research discoveries, funding updates and innovation happening in the life sciences sector. Speakers will dive into how the commercial real estate industry is playing a role in creating biotech ecosystems, facilitating the growth of life sciences companies and the role of AI and sustainability in the space.

While many of our speakers will share global insights, as we host the event in Montgomery County for 2024, there will also be an emphasis on the significant contributions of both the county and the state of Maryland to the progression of biotech research. Maryland continues to hold a prominent position as one of the leading destinations for biotech firms and commercial real estate expansion on a national scale.

This event will feature leaders changing the trajectory of the life sciences industry on a national scale, including executives from Alexandria Real Estate Equities, King Street Properties, BXP, AstraZeneca and more. From a local Maryland perspective, expect to hear from top governmental organizations, flagship tenants and other local stakeholders discussing the role that National Institute of Health (NIH), the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) and others play in shaping the longterm group of the Mid-Atlantic region. The lineup will also include life sciences luminaries, key local biotech companies and esteemed government officials, engaging in discussions about the pivotal role infrastructure and local investments play in fostering biotech growth across the globe.

You'll hear from the top national tenants, commercial real estate developers, investors, VC funds, brokers, designers and builders from the East Coast to the West Coast, from London and more.

What We Will Cover
Hear from leading biotech executives on how they are handling the current market conditions and how this is impacting their future growth and need for lab space. Gain insights into how the most successful life sciences real estate developments and transactions are prioritizing the scientific missions of these biotech firms. This event is meant to further connect, educate and inspire innovation in life sciences so that the real estate community can provide a flexible and welcoming home for continued growth in the world's most untapped industry. Key discussions will include:

  • Building Biotech Infrastructure Through Political Policy & Funding Programs
  • Latest Breakthrough Discoveries & Innovation in the Lab
  • Leasing, Financing & Major Development Projects
  • Future of AI & Sustainability on Biotech Research & Development
  • Key Ingredients for Successful Development & Design Across Various Lab Products
  • Site Selection & Acquisition Strategies
