Joe Flanagan co-founded Red Oak Investments in September 2005 with Alex Wong. Together they have entitled more than 1,000 multi-family units in Southern California and currently have over 500 units in development. Prior to co-founding Red Oak, Joe spent 9 years in a multitude of roles at Shea Properties. Before Shea Properties, Joe worked for a specialist firm on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Flanagan is married to his wife Maura and proud of their six children. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and a current member of the Board of Regents.

Tammy Harpster serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Roundtree Properties. Her real estate career includes co-founding LaTerra Development, a Southern California development company with more than 3,000 multifamily units under construction with an estimated value at completion of more than $2 billion. She also served as a fund manager for a real estate opportunity fund as well as an investment advisor for hundreds of millions of dollars of residential and commercial assets. Prior to LaTerra, she was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Phoenix Realty Group (PRG) and ran the firm’s San Diego Smart Growth Fund, a $90 million workforce housing opportunity fund with institutional investors such as CalPERS, Washington Mutual, and Northwestern Mutual. Ms. Harpster was also Assistant Vice President for Buchanan Street Partners, a leading real estate investment management firm, where she closed $300 million and managed over $600 million in commercial assets across four funds. Early in her career, she managed $125 million of pharmaceutical, biotech, and microelectronic construction development projects for DPR. Ms. Harpster holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Anderson School at UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Purdue University.

Mark Grace, Managing Director, is responsible for new loan origination utilizing direct relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, CMBS, bank, and life insurance companies. Mr. Grace provides financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners debt nationally and has over 14 years of experience in commercial real estate lending. Throughout his career, Mr. Grace has procured billions in debt for his clients but remains focused on his clients and delivering exceptional service and flawless execution. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Grace was a vice president at NorthMarq Capital. Prior to his production roles, Mark served for eight years underwriting debt and served as the analyst council chairperson in 2009. In his first year as an originator, he was awarded the rookie of the year designation for his notable production. Mr. Grace earned a dual degree in finance and management information systems from Boston University School of Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He is a licensed California real estate salesperson. Beyond the Company, Mr. Grace is an avid snowboarder, mountain biker, and outdoorsman, spending as much time as possible with his family, clients, and friends in the mountains. He is a father of four and is an active supporter of the Challenged Athletes Foundation

Karine Clark has a 30-year career in commercial real estate finance. Much of the this time was in the Seattle/Pacific Northwest market and the past 15 years in the California market. Financing is primarily focused upon construction and development; but includes bridge and permanent financing. Most of her career was with U.S. Bank both in Seattle and California. She spent some time with a development company and eventually came back to the banking world with Umpqua Bank in southern California. The product scope includes most, industrial, multi-family, retail, storage and hospitality. Much of the Seattle focus began in the area of industrial build-to-suits for The Boeing Company, many retail centers and prior to leaving Seattle finalized the Starbucks Headquarters project. California has a greater focus on multi-family, office, storage and hospitality. Most of the development clientele is based in California, to include Dallas and Arizona. Projects are located for the most part in southern California as well as most western states.

Jason has over 16 years of experience in commercial and multifamily mortgage banking. During his career, Jason has originated and closed more than 100 transactions totaling over $1.1 billion in debt and JV equity capital. Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Jason served as Vice President of Originations for Walker & Dunlop and Berkadia (formerly Capmark Finance and GMAC Commercial Mortgage) where he sourced and closed multifamily and commercial real estate loans with Agency, Life Company, bridge, and CMBS debt. Additional experiences include spending two years (2009-2011) at Hunt Investment Management (formerly Capmark Investments, which was Capmark’s equity investment company) where he asset managed a 17-property multifamily portfolio totaling over 3,500 apartment units located in Southern California. Additionally, Jason spent one year as Saris-Regis group where he worked on the multifamily investment team.

Jackson Cloak joined Berkadia as a Vice President in March 2010. Over 18+ year career he’s placed over $2.5 billion of debt and equity using balance sheet, agency/GSA, Life Company and conduits. Before Berkadia, Jackson spent 9 years at Fidelity Bancorp Funding & EverBank as an apartment and commercial loan consultant. There he financed purchases and refinances of apartment, retail, industrial and office properties in addition to disposition of performing and non-performing debt. Before focusing on commercial real estate Jackson traded corporate stock options in Palo Alto and Orange County/Newport Beach for high profile publicly traded companies. In 1999 he graduated from SDSU with a degree in Finance is a SDSU men’s basketball season ticket holder. After growing up in Laguna Beach then living in the Bay Area mixed with regular family visits to the east coast Jackson has a great appreciation for our beaches, weather, outdoors and good sushi.

Darren is a Director at Fulcrum, a leading Construction Risk Management firm that provides a wide range of professional services on all project types for clients nationwide. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from DeMontfort University in the UK and is a Fellow of the RICS, the largest international real estate professional body in the world dating back 150 years. Darren started his career 22 years ago in London and has since spent 18 years in Phoenix, Arizona and Southern California, where he moved in 2011 to assist in the growth of Fulcrum’s West Coast Region. Several years ago, Darren foresaw the current challenges the construction industry is experiencing relating to labor shortages and associated cost increases and drew upon his international experience to identify Modular Construction as a potential solution. He has since led a team of professionals at Fulcrum to complete extensive research, develop a vast network and provide Construction Risk Management services on numerous projects relating to Modular Construction.

Greg brings more than 40 years experience in real estate development, construction, and industrialized building systems. As a developer and general contractor his portfolio includes commercial/retail, multi family and single family developments throughout Arizona, California and Mexico.For more than a decade he has focused on advising factories committed to developing multi family capabilities and for the past five years exclusively with Silver Creek Industries , Perris, CA. As a project executive he is responsible for recently completed projects totaling 271 units. Greg enjoys creating value for the Owners and simplifying the process between GC’s, Architects and Consultants.

With more than a decade of experience, Ioanna leads multidisciplinary teams within AO’s Multifamily and Mixed-Use studios, specializing in market-rate, affordable, senior, and modular developments. She is a charismatic problem-solver with a passion for elevating the design vision of her clients and nurturing the success of her team. Ioanna is an avid researcher and lifelong learner valued for her strong project management and people skills, as well as her ability to foster trust and collaboration amongst developers, cities, designers, architects, and consultants. Ioanna is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on the ARC Alumni Advisory Board for Cal Poly Pomona, and the Design Professional Council for the Modular Building Institute (MBI).

Bill Shopoff has more than forty (40) years of real estate and investment experience. His expertise includes the acquisition, development, and sale of new and redeveloped residential and commercial properties throughout the United States, as well as partnership structure, debt placement, venture capital and investment underwriting. Mr. Shopoff has acquired over 1,000 properties on behalf of his various entities, including the acquisition of over 6,000 apartment units (fee or mortgage loans), the entitlement of over 20,000 lots/units of land suitable for single-family or multi-family development, as well as millions of square feet of commercial projects. Additionally, the firm has undertaken numerous development projects, with current developments underway including high cube logistics buildings, apartments, luxury condominiums and single-family build to rent product. For over 30 years, Mr. Shopoff has led Shopoff Realty Investments and its predecessor firms. Since 1992, he has served as either Principal or as President of the Asset Recovery Fund, and since August 1999, as the President of Eastbridge Partners, L.P. Upon acquiring the assets of Eastbridge Partners, L.P. in April 2004, Mr. Shopoff created the manager, Shopoff Realty Investments, L.P., and has served as its President since that time. Bill Shopoff also stands as Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Vertimass, LLC since 2012 and holds security licenses: Series 22, 24, 39, 62, 63, 79TO. Involved in a number of industry associations, Mr. Shopoff is currently a member of Commercial Investment Real Estate and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Building Industry Association as well as Lambda Alpha International (LAI), a global land economics society. Mr. Shopoff also stands as Investment Committee member for LCAD (Laguna College of Art + Design) and board member for The Park Club professional network of Orange County. Mr. Shopoff is also involved in various collegiate councils, being named to the Executive Council of the Real Estate Center at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business. This Executive Council advises faculty and staff on curriculum matters within the University’s real estate department. He is also a member of the University of California Irvine-Chief Executive Roundtable (UCI CERT), which works in concert with local business leaders and university faculty. In addition to his industry and educational board involvement, Mr. Shopoff is also involved in various nonprofit foundations, including his former roles as President of the Board of Directors for the Central Coast Wine Classic Foundation, and as a board member of Global Energy Network International (GENI), a non-profit organization based in San Diego, California. Furthermore, Mr. Shopoff has also been the top fundraiser for the past 20 years for the AIDS LifeCycle, a 585-mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, which supports the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Mr. Shopoff is a frequent speaker on various real estate and investment related topics. He has been invited to participate as a key panelist and a guest speaker on professional panels at real estate conferences and industry events throughout the United States. He holds many awards and accreditations including nomination for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2023 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award.

Mr. LaFever joined Greystar in April 2014, as managing director of development in Orange and San Diego Counties. Prior to joining Greystar, Mr. LaFever was vice president of multifamily development for The Picerne Group, where he led Southern California Acquisition and Development efforts, and also previously worked in the same capacity for Trammell Crow Residential. Prior to joining The Picerne Group, Mr. LaFever was Co-Founder of the Southern California Division of Waypoint Homes, an institutional leader in the single family rental asset class, which is now publicly traded after its merger with Starwood (NYSE: SWAY). Mr. LaFever is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science Degrees in Finance & Marketing, and a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Masters in Real Estate Development.

A residential development expert, John Pallante directs the architectural design and sales strategies for a range of residential projects. John’s career spans over 16 years and multiple markets including Newport Beach, New York, San Francisco, Maui, Denver and Los Angeles. As a Director with Polaris Pacific, he oversees a $2 Billion portfolio of condominium developments. He holds a master’s degree in urban planning from Hunter College.

As Executive Vice President and District Manager at Milender White, Adam Mack oversees all operations in Southern California. His 30 years of construction experience includes extensive knowledge of the multifamily, hospitality and affordable housing sectors. Adam has a natural way of relating to all stakeholders in a project and developing a cohesive feeling of “team,” while ensuring that all budgetary and quality goals are met. Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Prior to joining Milender White, Adam was Vice President and General Manager at a major heavy civil construction company.
