Aaron Reuter is Managing Director, Head of Investments for Veritas Investments and has over 19 years of industry experience. Mr. Reuter focuses on multifamily investment activities for the Bay Area with a particular focus on the City of San Francisco and Oakland. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Reuter held senior positions at Swift Real Estate Partners, The Green Cities Company, and Prologis. Mr. Reuter holds a BA from UCLA and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

David Feinberg is currently a Managing Partner at Sack Capital Partners. He has closed over a billion dollars in apartment acquisitions over his career. He joined Sack Capital Partners in 2017 and is responsible for all acquisition and disposition activities. Prior to Sack Capital Partners, David was a Vice President of Acquisitions with Sares Regis, with primary acquisition responsibility for value-add multifamily properties in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. He closed on $333M in apartment transactions while at Sares Regis. Before joining Sares, Feinberg served as vice president of acquisitions at RREEF. He was responsible for identifying, negotiating, underwriting and closing purchases, both direct and joint venture, of more than $300 million in properties for RREEF clients. Feinberg started his career with Archstone, where he was in the acquisitions group covering the Pacific Northwest first and later the East Coast through the Boston office. Mr. Feinberg received a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Puget Sound and a Masters in Business Administration from Northwestern University – Kellogg

Rahul Varshneya is a Director and Private Banker for Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. He leads a team of subject matter experts that cater to the diverse needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients. He currently focuses on high-growth companies and their executive teams in areas of capital raising to growth, liquidity events and beyond. He also addresses institutional, family office and fund needs around GP/LP liquidity, hedging & monetization and structured products. Mr. Varshneya also works with top tier commercial real estate developers and sponsors across the country through recourse and non-recourse capital deployment. Alexander J. Pugh is a Partner in Lubin Olson's Real Estate, Business, Finance and Workouts, and Construction Law Practice Groups. Mr. Pugh represents clients in a wide range of real estate and business transactions, including debt and equity financing, real estate acquisitions and sales, real estate construction and development, commercial and industrial leasing and ground leases, workouts, mortgage loan repurchase transactions, and UCC and mortgage foreclosures. Mike Kim serves as Senior Managing Director of Mill Creek’s Northern California office, where he leads the development activities in the San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, and Silicon Valley metro regions. During his 24-year real estate career, he has been involved in the development and construction of multifamily mixed-use communities, and commercial developments with aggregate values in excess of $2.2 billion in the NCAL and PNW markets. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Kim served as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at SIMEON Properties where he led the firm’s multifamily and commercial development activities. He began his real estate career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was involved in complex urban developments across various typologies including high-rise, horizontal and vertical mixed-use, master plans, and commercial developments. Prior to his career in real estate development, Mr. Kim served the nation for seven years as a Naval Officer leading maritime missions and expeditions in all major theaters of operation. Mr. Kim holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. He has served on various boards such as the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley CA, NAIOP San Francisco, and several municipal Advisory Councils.

Responsible for developing more than $3.5 billion in real estate projects, including over 2,300 residential units in the California Bay Area, Hayden has experience in acquisition, contract negotiation, due diligence, risk assessment, financing, construction, and disposition of multifamily, single family and large mixed-use and master planned developments. He maintains relationships with a broad network of property owners, enabling him to identify and acquire prime investments. Hayden also has expertise navigating projects through the entitlement process by working with elected officials, community groups, and political organizations to gain support and get projects approved.

Kabir Seth serves as a Principal at Presidio Bay Ventures, overseeing a portfolio valued at over $2.3 billion across the United States. He is actively involved in all operations including new business development, financial underwriting, entitlements, community outreach, asset management, project accounting and investor relations. Kabir also leads the continued growth and development of the Presidio Bay Real Estate Scholarship Program, which provides young professionals from underrepresented communities a variety of educational, mentorship, and professional development opportunities via a curated and experiential 10-week learning program. Prior to joining Presidio Bay, Kabir was a member of the Structured Finance Team at SolarCity, now a subsidiary of Tesla, Inc., where he structured more than $300 million in asset-backed debt, including the first publicly rated securitization of solar asset receivables. Kabir started his career in technology investment banking at GCA Global (now Houlihan Lokey), where he focused on private capital and M&A advisory work. Kabir studied at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) where he completed his degrees in Economics and Mathematics. Peter Winscott is Villa’s VP of Growth. Peter oversees Villa’s D2C and B2B demand-gen functions spanning marketing, sales, business development, and partnerships. Peter brings over 20 years of people leadership, sales, and operations experience to Villa. Prior to Villa, Peter was an RVP of Sales at Orchard where he led multiple markets in the Western U.S.. Before Orchard, Peter was a Managing Broker for a Denver-based real estate brokerage. Prior to that, Peter held leadership roles at start-ups and faith-based community organizations. Ian Murphy is an integral member of the BDE team having joined the firm in 2013. Ian’s primary focus is on market rate multi-family housing projects ranging from 40 to 400 units, that involve managing a project team, coordinating professional consultants and meeting deadlines to hit project milestones, design and cost objectives. Ian’s contribution to the firm is immeasurable. He is responsible for all phases of a project from the earliest planning and programming, tackling the complexities of obtaining appropriate approvals from local jurisdictions through to the final construction administration.

Rudy Gonzalez began his career at 18 with his first union card as a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. His career includes serving in a number of roles for Teamsters 856 and, in August 2018, he became the first person of color and youngest person elected to serve as the executive director of the San Francisco Labor Council. In 2021, he was elected to lead the San Francisco Building & Construction Trades Council. Under his leadership, affiliated unions won the first community workforce agreement in the state with the University of California for over $1 billion in work. The council also has launched a first-of-its-kind program to prepare women of color and non-binary workers for apprenticeship and mentor them into union and industry leadership, and it sponsored and won passage of the Wage Theft Prevention Act of 2022, which helps prevent the exploitation of the residential construction sector.

Jeff Brink has over 20 years of structural design experience with significant developments up and down the west coast, ranging from Performance Based Design high-rises to mixed-use projects at Candlestick Point, the SF Shipyard, and Yerba Buena Island. Current projects include the City of San Francisco’s new office tower at 1500 Mission Street and the Virgin Hotel adjacent to the Moscone Center. Jeff’s technical expertise at integrating innovative structural systems, combined with his broad understanding of the construction industry, allows architecturally decisive projects to be achieved while still maintaining the project budget.

As Senior Vice President of Development for Related California Affordable, Ms. Olson leads and manages all aspects of development and financing for Related's affordable residential developments. Prior to joining Related, Ms. Olson was Vice President of Development & Construction for Gablecraft Homes where she oversaw all development and construction activity in Western Canada for a pipeline of more than 1,000 condominium and single-family units. As Director of Housing & Real Estate Development for West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation, Ms. Olson managed all aspects of affordable housing development, including the acquisition, entitlement and financing of senior, family and special needs housing. In the first phase of her career, Ms. Olson worked as an architect in Boston, Massachusetts on historic, adaptive-reuse and institutional projects. Ms. Olson holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Architecture from McGill University in Montreal. She is a licensed architect in California and Massachusetts, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certified, a LEED Accredited Professional (Building Design and Construction), and an active member of the Urban Land Institute.

Smitha Seshadri is Executive Vice President of Development at BRIDGE Housing Corporation and leads the organization’s real estate development activities in Northern California. Smitha brings 20+ years of experience with a strong background in architecture, community development and real estate finance. She has successfully structured several complex multi-family affordable housing developments and is responsible for overseeing the execution of several mixed-use/mixed-income developments for BRIDGE in Northern California, including new construction and acquisition-rehab over the past 5.5 years. Earlier this year, BRIDGE was honored with the “Nonprofit Developer of the Year Award” from the San Francisco Business Times for delivering approximately 1,000 new and rehabbed affordable housing units in the Bay Area over the past 2 years. Her team is currently working on 7 construction projects with a total of 735 affordable housing units and several new construction projects in predevelopment. Prior to BRIDGE, Smitha served as Vice President of Real Estate at Habitat for Humanity, San Francisco and Director of Development for the Santa Clara Housing Authority. Babatunde (Tunde) Onadele Jr joined the AEC industry after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Jose State. He brings over a decade of experience operating within construction teams and currently serves as a Project Executive for CORE Builders, a South Bay multifamily general contractor. In his role he is responsible for leading project operations from design through completion, operational risk management and mentoring team members through their career journey. Outside of his operations he is passionate about DE&I within the construction workforce, specifically senior and executive leadership. Tunde is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Associated General Contractor of California’s (AGC CA) , Chair for AGC CA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee and was honored as a 40 under 40 award recipient from the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2023. Tunde takes pride in positively impacting the community and helping others and helping others reach their goals.

Caroline Guibert Chase practices real estate, development, and land use law, with an emphasis on representing real estate developers in the entitlement of residential, commercial, and institutional development projects. Caroline has a unique multidisciplinary background including architecture, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) consulting, urban planning, and zoning enforcement. She has excelled at helping clients navigate the complex local and state entitlement processes throughout the Bay Area. Caroline has extensive experience with CEQA and has been involved in every step of the preparation of various CEQA documents, including the review of technical studies and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report (EIR)-required project objectives and alternatives. She is particularly well-versed in local and state historic resource issues, which often complicate the CEQA review process by triggering the need for an EIR. Caroline’s involvement and passion for her practice are also evident outside of the firm. Caroline is on the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition (SFHAC) Board and Chair of the SFHAC Legislative Committee. Tony Mirenda, a seasoned Construction Executive with over 42 years of experience in the Bay Area, has been instrumental in leading and growing businesses across multiple market sectors, including mixed-use, multifamily residential, affordable housing, and education. His leadership has resulted in the successful completion of numerous high-profile affordable housing/mixed-use projects such as the Gateway to Millbrae Station (Millbrae BART), College Terrace Centre (Palo Alto), and Casa del Pueblo (San Jose). Mirenda’s extensive expertise spans all phases of contract delivery, and he has been a key player in public education construction for over 27 years. Throughout his career, Tony has built a robust network of relationships, serving on various industry and nonprofit boards, including chairing the San Jose Chamber of Commerce. With a passion for mentoring, Tony has dedicated 15 years to designing and building stage sets for his alma mater’s drama program and is deeply involved in community service, including youth coaching. Recently, Tony joined Kitchell CEM as Executive Director South Bay where he continues to drive innovation and growth.

Andrew Silverman is Chief Operating Officer at Mosser Companies, a 70-year- old vertically integrated owner/operator of mixed-use properties in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles. Andrew believes that success is achieved through balanced execution in driving teams, customer interests, investment objectives and value-add projects. With a history of scaling business plans, teams and operational execution, Andrew has a diverse background including national portfolio acquisition and development, leadership team creation, SFR build to rent formation, entitlement, BI/IT integration, net- zero energy construction, and debt/equity underwriting and placement. He holds a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University, is a licensed General Contractor and is an advisor with several real estate startups.

Riaz Taplin has been thinking about workforce housing for most of his professional life. Growing up in a real estate family, Riaz detoured early in his career from the family business to develop his own style by founding a design/build firm and developing over 50 ultra-luxury residences in the Bay Area. Completing his last project just before the great recession, Riaz refocused his vision to workforce housing in Oakland. Over the next decade, Riaz built a portfolio of over 1,300 units in the workforce housing category. In the process, Riaz consistently worked to innovate market-rate approaches to workforce housing, also known as naturally-occurring affordable housing. In successive projects and ventures, Riaz explored co-living, adaptive reuse micro-units, student housing, and traditional ground-up construction – all of which led to the firm’s custom workforce housing solution – the ABD Studio. Today, Riaz leads Riaz Capital, a vertically integrated workforce housing developer and institutional-grade sponsor with a core team of over fifty professionals managing a portfolio of over 1,300 units, and with over 1,000 residences in the pipeline. Riaz is a board member of the Oakland Promise, the urban planning think tank SPUR, and co-chair of the American India Foundation SF Bay Area board. He earned a B.A. in Economic History from the London School of Economics.

Doug is directly responsible for Land Acquisition, Entitlements, Design and Construction, Asset Management, Asset Disposition, and Finance. Doug has been with SummerHill since 2001. Before assuming his current role as President of SummerHill Apartment Communities, Doug held the COO and CFO roles for SummerHill Apartment Communities and the CFO role for SummerHill Homes. As CFO he secured nearly $2.5 Billion in project level construction debt and equity capital. Prior to joining SummerHill Homes, Doug was Manager of Strategy and Business Architecture for Accenture in San Francisco. Doug was also Division Controller – Carolinas for Pulte Homes and Supervising Senior Accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick, both of Charlotte, North Carolina. Doug is a former certified public accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Finance and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Doug also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where he graduated with distinction and received the annual Innovation Award. Doug is a member of the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board and is involved with various other industry and charitable organizations.

Lisa, who has been active in the multifamily industry since 1990, oversees portfolio operations for the West Coast, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Northern Nevada, and California. Prior to joining Avenue5, she oversaw Greystar’s national client services platform and served as executive vice president at Riverstone Residential Group, vice president at BlackRock, director of asset management at Security Properties Incorporated, and vice president at Trammell Crow Residential Services. She holds expertise in business strategy, acquisition underwriting and analysis, new development pre-construction planning, financial performance underwriting, asset repositioning, capital budget preparation functions, new development marketing and planning, business development, associate training, property operations and performance, and all facets of asset strategy formulation. Lisa holds a broker’s license in the state of Washington.

I am the Co-Managing Principal at The Martin Group of Companies, a family-owned firm specializing in mixed-use, multifamily, and student housing projects. As an associate principal and senior project manager with Studio KDA, Austin excels as a master collaborator - lending design oversight, budgeting / schedule control, consultant coordination and continuity of service from project inception through construction completion. Using his business acumen and design skills, Austin works closely with clients to realize the potential of their project sites or add value to existing assets. As an expert on student housing and code analysis, Austin often presents on topics related to new State and regional laws and their impact on the housing development landscape. A licensed Architect and AIA member, Austin got his start with a BA in City Planning/Urban Design from UC Berkeley. Mike Smith is a seasoned construction professional with over 18 years of experience across various roles and currently serving as Vice President for W.E. O’Neil Construction. Specializing in multifamily and mixed-use projects, Mike has been instrumental in shaping the Northern California landscape. Mike is a decisive leader with extensive experience leading numerous high-profile projects and a proven track record of success throughout Northern California. His deep understanding of the construction industry, coupled with his leadership acumen, has enabled Mike to foster collaborative teams, cultivate strong client relationships, and drive sustainable growth for organizations.   One of Mike’s core focuses is on developing and nurturing our people to create an environment of continuous improvement and excellence within the organization.  Outside of work, Mike enjoys finding balance by spending time with family, playing musical instruments, and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers.

Todd represents clients in the broad spectrum of land use, real estate and environmental issues in both litigation and administrative proceedings. He works with private clients and public entities, including landowners and developers of residential, infill, commercial and industrial property, as well as local agencies, providing property entitlement processing and local government land use approvals; CEQA compliance and litigation; planning and zoning law advice; and real property litigation. He also has experience with infill project streamlining, density bonus and housing laws, affordable housing and historic preservation regulations, as well as advising clients on public-private partnerships, the Subdivision Map Act, the Williamson Act, and cannabis land use regulations, along with easement and boundary dispute matters. A contributing editor on the 2010 – 2011 edition of State and Local Government Land Use Liability, and a reviewer of the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Municipal Law Handbook, Todd also has spoken throughout the state on land use law, with particular emphasis on CEQA.

Mr. MacDonald is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), SPUR, and the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition (SFHAC), and he has been a featured speaker at numerous local and regional real estate industry events, including the San Francisco ULI Residential Local Product Council, the Fisher Center Annual Real Estate & Economics Symposium, the Marcus & Millichap Multifamily Forum and the Bisnow Residential Summit. Mr. MacDonald received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering with Distinction from Stanford University in 1993 and a Master of Science in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2007. Mr. MacDonald is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.

JP Walsh is the Director of Finance for Panoramic Interests, a development firm that has been building housing, live-work space, and commercial property in the Bay Area since 1990. The firm has focused on dense mixed-use, mixed-income, infill developments, typically financed with private funds. All the firm’s projects incorporate the Smart Growth principles designed to discourage auto use, mitigate sprawl, encourage local business, and enhance the pedestrian streetscape in the places where they are located. JP received a Master of Laws with a concentration in real estate from UC Berkeley and obtained the CFA certificate in 2013.

Paul J. Niewiadomski is a Partner in Lubin Olson’s Real Estate and Finance Groups. He has represented clients in hundreds of multifamily acquisitions, dispositions and financings, as well as the formation of numerous joint ventures to acquire and develop multifamily/residential assets. He has experience with market, rent controlled, senior and affordable housing. He previously worked as counsel to the Asset and Economic Development group at the County of Santa Clara, where he participated in the structuring and negotiation of a number of public- private developments resulting in thousands of multifamily units.

As Chargie’s Vice President of Business Development, David is responsible for driving growth of the company’s EV charging network through the leadership and mentorship of a national sales team. He also oversees long-term partnerships with some of the largest multifamily and commercial real estate developers in the country. David brings nearly 20 years of experience in operations and management. Before joining Chargie, David led business development efforts at PCS Energy, the largest installer of commercial solar systems in Los Angeles. He also served as a founding partner of Nexcut, a leading provider of document destruction and recycling services. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University.
