2000 Pennsylvania Avenue NW is one of the most transformative building renovations completed within Washington, DC in decades, combining historical significance and the delivery of amenities that enhance an entire neighborhood. Through this project, DC is reintroduced to Western Market. Originally built in 1802, it was one of DC’s three main markets from up until it closed in 1856. This revitalization celebrates Western Market as thriving business center and expands as a culinary hub for the community in a dynamic and historic part of our nation's capital. While Western Market is reminiscent of the original marketplace, its aims to fulfill a deeper purpose by enriching the community through food, bringing diverse cultures and cuisines to the heart of Foggy Bottom. Thoughtful leasing brought together a world of diverse cultures in the food stalls of Western Market, all in the heart of DC. Each new restaurant offers a unique opportunity for guests to experience ingredients, drinks and dishes from all over the world.
2000 Penn houses an unparalleled mix of Class-A Office spaces, providing shared workspace, flexible private suites and large floorplates overlooking downtown and blocks from the White House. Renovations wrapped in 2021 including the Western Market Food Hall, Office Lobby, Office Amenity Space, Office Fitness, and rooftop terrace, turning this building into one of the most highly amenities buildings in DC. Representative of the new “flexible office building” in addition to the first floor amenities, roof top deck, conference facilities and fitness, this ten-story building also offers spec suites, Townhall spec suites, and Western Market Workspaces – a shared workspace environment.
