A proud fifth generation Washingtonian, Robert C. White, Jr. is in his second term as At-Large Member of the Council of the District of Columbia. He chairs the Council’s Committee on Housing. Robert began his career in public service as a law clerk in the Maryland District Court for Montgomery County. For five years, he worked in the United States Congress, serving as Legislative Counsel to the District’s Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. In 2014, he was tapped by Attorney General Karl A. Racine to serve as the first Director of Community Outreach for the DC Office of the Attorney General. In 2016, Robert was elected as an at-large Councilmember with the highest number of votes in the history of DC’s elected Council. He was re-elected in 2020. Robert and his wife, Christy, an attorney with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, reside in Ward 4 with their daughters, Madison and Monroe, and rescue pit bull, Roscoe. They attend St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Robert loves spending time with his family, reading, and riding his motorcycle.

Dean Hunter is the Founder and CEO of The Small Multifamily & Rental Owners Association, a trade group representing the interest of small rental property owners in Washington, DC, and the surrounding suburbs. Dean is an experienced multifamily advisor at The KW Commercial Small Multifamily Group. He is the host of the Multifamily Owners Podcast. Hunter has worked as a legislative counsel for both local and federal officials. He is a graduate of American University and Howard School of Law.

Dr. Shenetta Malkia h.c. SHCM® NARPM® is the CEO of The PMs Of The City Realty and The PMs Of the City. The PMs Of the City is full service property management firm and The PMs of the City is a full service brokerage serving Maryland, DC, VA and GA with new states coming soon. Dr. Malkia is known to many as The PM or Broker of the City with over 20 years in property management, asset management and project management for rehabs and construction. She took on her new role as Broker in Dec. of 2021 with a desire to change the face of real estate. Dr. Malkia focuses on the best possible solution in any circumstances. Working for buyers, sellers and investors, Dr. Malkia "Makes it Look Like Magic" Sales, purchases, lease ups, rehabs, asset management and project management in both multi-family and the commercial are her specialties including relocation assistance. Her portfolios have ranged from 500 units to 1500 units. Dr. Malkia’s strengths are increasing revenue and maintaining increased occupancy. In addition to her career in real estate, Shenetta is the Founding President and Executive Director of Empowerment Essence. Peter Ruddy is the founder and managing principal at Ruddy Management Co, a multi-divisional property management company serving the greater Washington DC area. Recognizing the lack of personalized and strategic property management in the DC-area, Mr. Ruddy founded Ruddy Management Co. in 2019 as a single-family management company. Since its founding, Ruddy Management Co. has grown its management portfolio to encompass assets ranging from single-family homes to large multifamily buildings and commercial properties with a concentration in workforce and affordable housing (Class B & C assets). Mr. Ruddy attended the Catholic University of America in Brookland, NE DC, before working as a project manager for Rock Spring Contracting, where he assisted in the management of large-scale (70m+) commercial construction projects. Mr. Ruddy is a member of the SMOA (Small Multifamily Owners Association), as well as the National Association of Residential Property Managers and holds a DC Property Manager License.

Felipe Ernst founded Ernst Equities in 2015 with a 3-unit acquisition in the heart of Shaw, Washington DC. He's since grown to over 500 units throughout the Washington DC metropolitan region. Mr. Ernst specializes in value-add, opportunistic multifamily acquisitions, development and management with a concentration in workforce and affordable housing (Class B & C). Mr. Ernst has been recognized by DCA as a 2020 Rising Star of Commercial Real Estate as well as a two time awardee of the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal's 30 under 30. Previously, Mr. Ernst was an associate management consultant at KPMG in the technology enablement group. His largest client was Fannie Mae, where he helped build the Loan Accounting System platform. Mr. Ernst is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is a licensed real estate salesperson and property manager. Mr. Ernst received his BSBA from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business with a concentration in Finance, International Business and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. In addition, he received his Masters from Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies with a concentration in Real Estate Development & Finance. Mr. Ernst is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown teaching a class on value-add Multifamily investments.

Marcus Goodwin is the Managing Principal of Goodwin Companies; a real estate development firm that merges architectural elegance with cutting-edge technology. Mr. Goodwin owns and manages multiple duplexes and multi-units in Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Washington, DC. He is currently building a 92 unit, senior, affordable building in Carver Langston. Mr. Goodwin, is an expert in financial modeling, deal sourcing and capital markets. He has underwritten dozens of completed acquisitions and has handled all aspects of development management. He also has a profound understanding of the political landscape in Washington, DC, having run for DC Council. Mr. Goodwin was previously a Vice President at Redbrick LMD and a Director for Neighborhood Development Company. He also worked at Four Points, JBG and started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York City. Mr. Goodwin received his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MDes in Real Estate from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.

Lorenzo M. Wooten Jr., CCIM, is a Senior Associate with Marcus & Millichap in Bethesda, MD, focused exclusively on representing sellers and buyers of investment properties throughout the Washington DC metro area. Lorenzo and his team have successfully completed numerous transactions across all commercial product types including mixed-use, multifamily, land for development, and church sales. Lorenzo has continuously managed complex transactions such as zoning variances, challenges with TOPA, tenant issues, and providing financing solutions for his developer clients. Lorenzo’s relationships, knowledge of the market, and fourteen years of experience in commercial real estate sales have made him one of the top agents in the area. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap in November 2017, Lorenzo served as Managing Director with Keller Williams Commercial and Team Leader of The Wooten Group since 2009. As Managing Director, Lorenzo oversaw all commercial real estate transactions including leasing and sales. The Wooten Group has brokered over $34 million dollars in commercial real estate sales in 2021 and 2022. These transaction results made his real estate team one of the top commercial sales teams in the Washington DC metro area. Lorenzo’s real estate career spans over twenty-five years including four years as a Loan Officer, five years as a Regional Manager with Fannie Mae, and eleven experience with real estate development. His educational background includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Lincoln University and obtaining his M.B.A. from the University of Maryland, Global Campus. Lorenzo also received his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in March 2015. Lorenzo is active in several local organizations including being a volunteer for Junior Achievement of America since 2014, a mentor with 100 Black Men of Prince George's County since 2015, and he is a member of fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

John Hinder, Managing Director, specializes in multifamily financing and is responsible for new loan originations nationwide. Mr. Hinder will play a leading role in the growth of the multifamily small loans team, helping to provide sustainable and affordable financing solutions for smaller apartment properties. Throughout his career, Mr. Hinder has participated in the origination and underwriting of over $4.7 billion in transactions, and he has been engaged on large portfolios and transactions nationwide. Mr. Hinder joined Walker & Dunlop as an underwriting analyst in 2007 and was promoted to underwriter in 2008. In 2009, he moved into the production department as a loan officer. He has amassed experience with conventional multifamily housing, manufactured housing, seniors housing, student housing, and affordable housing. Mr. Hinder graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
