Los Angeles Real Estate Company Adds Houston Office As It Expands South, Central Texas Portfolio
Los Angeles real estate investment firm BH Properties opened a Houston-based office for its Central and South Texas office, industrial and retail properties.
The Houston office will be led by Senior Asset Manager Brady Wilkins, formerly senior vice president of investment and development at Midway Cos. and, before that, senior vice president, commercial division at Signorelli Co.
“Brady’s experience, extensive relationships and knowledge of the Central and Southern Texas real estate markets will be incredibly valuable as we continue to build our portfolio in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley,” BH Properties President Jim Brooks said in a release. “It was becoming increasingly difficult to manage such as geographically diverse portfolio from our office in Dallas.”
The company states it has 2M SF of its properties in Central and Southern Texas, with 10M SF in total across 19 states. It has invested $100M over the past two years, it says.
“I intend to leverage my experience across a full range of deal types and strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, consultants, contractors and community members, to increase the value of our portfolio and increase our presence in the Central and Southern Texas markets,” Wilkins said in a release.
The company also has a Dallas office, led by Senior Asset Manager Jordan Myller, which oversees the rest of its Texas portfolio, largely in North Texas.
BH Properties announced the acquisition of a vacant 128K SF office in Katy last month. The company said it will renovate that property slightly.
BH Properties owns some Rio Grande Valley properties in its South Texas portfolio, including a 103K SF building at Valle Vista Mall in Harlingen, which was formerly a Dillard's.
