W.S. Bellows Construction Transitions Leadership To Fourth Generation
Jack Bellows is taking over as president of W.S. Bellows Construction Corp., following in the footsteps of his mother, father and great-grandfather.
Bellows, a 33-year-old Vanderbilt graduate, has been with the company since 2008. He will assume the role on Sept. 4 from his mother, Laura Bellows, who has been president and chairman since her husband died from a heart attack in 2007; she will remain on as chairman and CEO.
“When I took over leadership of the company, it was sudden and unexpected,” Laura Bellows said. “This time, we have the advantage of continuing the 104-year-old Bellows family tradition of a smooth and solid leadership transition that reinforces the strong foundation of trust and relationships which undergirds Bellows Construction.”
Jack Bellows has worked on Texas Children's Hospital, BLVD Place and the Houston Zoo, and is project manager for the Center for Conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Bellows was founded 104 years ago by Warren S. Bellows, Jack's great-grandfather.
