Houston's New Data Center
We were on hand yesterday for the groundbreaking of Skybox Houston One, an 87k SF data center in the Energy Corridor. It’s being developed by Skybox Datacenters—managing partner Rob Morris fell in love with our mission critical activity (being the second-largest concentration of Fortune 500 HQs in the country, as well as the energy and healthcare capitals of the world) and began working on this project two years ago. He was able to spread the love—although people said no one would finance a spec data center, he convinced American Bank of Texas to come on board. The first phase of development will provide four private 10k SF data halls; it can expand to 12 halls on its 20-acre campus.
