This Week’s Houston Deal Sheet

Levey Group is offering free rent for up to 18 months in a Class-A warehouse at the intersection of West Little York and Bingle Road in northwest Houston for nonprofit organizations, first responders, medical organizations or government agencies caring for those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The warehouse and office buildings are located inside two business parks the company developed within the last five years, and a use ranging from 6K SF to 36K SF can be accommodated.

Levey’s warehouses are suitable for storing and distributing supplies such as personal protective equipment, bottled water and nonperishable foods. The available space can also be used for nonprofit organizations or government agencies dedicated to manufacturing masks and other supplies.

Organizations will be selected based on need and community impact.

PEOPLE

Barret Espe joined Rockspring as vice president of brokerage for Central Texas. He is the first addition to the firm’s Central Texas office, after Rockspring announced its growth plans, strategy shift and rebranding earlier this year. Espe will be responsible for leading the brokerage team as well as all brokerage services in the region. He will be based in Austin, but will also cover San Antonio alongside Rockspring’s Central Texas team.

Ivest LP purchased a 100K SF industrial property at 8201 and 8211 La Porte Freeway. The property comprises two buildings, and includes 43K SF of office space. Features include 14 dock-high doors, three ramps and one recessed dock with cross-dock capabilities. Moody Rambin’s Jim Autreuy represented the buyer, while Lee & Associates’ Trey Erwin, Justin Tunnell and Justin Cole represented the seller, Duma Land.

Lone Star Wire Rope leased 26K SF within Building 2 at Parc Air 59, an urban industrial development in Humble. Parc Air 59 is a 320K SF, three-building development. Building 2 is 80K SF. The lease is the fifth in the park, and brings overall occupancy to 70%. The landlord is Jackson Shaw.

Texas Eye Institute renewed its 16K SF office lease at 7710 Beechnut St. NAI Partners’ John Zivley represented the tenant, while Colliers International’s Ace Schlameus and Jenny Seckinger represented the landlord.

Timeline Logistics Inc. renewed 10K SF of industrial space at Century Plaza Business in North Houston. Houston Realty Advisors’ Ed Ayres represented the tenant, while Brummett & Co.’s Val Costello represented the landlord, 319 Century Plaza Associates.
