We were on hand Friday for i3 Interests’ groundbreaking of Spring Valley Medical Plaza. Principal Rene Joubert says the site—on I-10 one block east of Blalock—is the perfect location to grab the largest chunk of healthcare users. (River Oaks residents won’t go outside the Beltway, Katy residents won’t come inside the Loop, and no one wants to deal with traffic in the Med Center.) His firm is developing the six-story, 68k SF Class-A MOB and surgery center, which is slated to deliver in Q4 ’15.
EDGE Realty’s Josh Jacobs and Debbie Adams are leasing the facility, which is 60% pre-leased. They’ve got space available from 2,000 to 24k SF contiguous. The construction team: Burton, Page, Ward Getz, Telios, and Cardno Whaley. Green Bank provided construction lending.
