The Port's Latest (New) Logistics Development
Trucking and logistics Excargo Services just picked up 22 acres on Genoa Red Bluff—closer to the Bayport and Barbour's Cut terminals—with plans for two phases of development. Boyd Commercial’s Andy Sowell repped Excargo with colleague Mike Boyd. He says the site took creative engineering because some of it was a sand mine for decades. Excargo has already moved some of its trucking operations, and Phase 1 of development, a 10k SF office building, will start right away. Phase 2 will be a 100k SF warehouse. Pictured, Andy’s with his twins Rachel and Jackson on a fishing excursion to an uninhabited island in Turks and Caicos. He says there were miles of virgin beaches and crystal clear water, and the fish were hungry.
The best way to find Andy this year might be at a SIOR event—on the 14th, he was inducted as president of the Houston/Gulf Coast chapter.
