Prominent Island Family Buys Former Del Papa Complex In Galveston
A highly visible and long-vacant asset along I-45 in Galveston has a new owner. The Sullivan family acquired the 74K SF former Del Papa Distributing Complex at 6702 Broadway, the Galveston County Daily News reports. Billly, John and Todd Sullivan plan to consolidate their businesses at the facility, including SLSCO Ltd., a disaster recovery firm, and Callan Marine, a construction and dredging operation. Sullivan Interests also operates a bulk handling business and a foam insulation business in addition to its residential construction operation, Sullivan Brothers Builders.
The building has been vacant since 2012 when Del Papa moved to Texas City to accommodate growth.
