Heights To Get Pedestrian-Friendly Development
Radom Capital, The Finial Group and Twine Capital are teaming up on a pedestrian- and bike-friendly mixed-use project in the Heights with a dollop of historic renovation, Culture Map reports. The team is tearing down the old Pappas warehouse at 7th Street and Heights Boulevard to build Heights Mercantile. The office/restaurant/retail development will include a new 19k SF facility and the renovation of three existing buildings from the '20s and '40s. Heights Mercantile will tie in with the Heights Boulevard running trail and the Heights Bike Trail, with several hundred feet of frontage on both and bike parking and public green space in the development. Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is handling design. Look for groundbreaking mid-year, according to Culture Map.
