364-Unit Mid-Rise Luxury Complex Breaks Ground In River Oaks
Wood Partners broke ground on a luxury residential mid-rise, Alta River Oaks at 3636 West Dallas St., Houston. The 364-unit multifamily project will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. The project is expected to open in Q4 2020.
"The River Oaks neighborhood is among the most desired in the entire Houston area," Wood Partners Managing Director Bart Barrett said in a release. "Careful thought and consideration went into the design and interior finish decisions to maintain the integrity of what River Oaks represents. We are proud that Alta River Oaks will offer apartment homes featuring A-class finishes and premium amenities."
Alta River Oaks will feature custom finishes such as stainless-steel appliances, gas cooktop and oven, quartz countertops, custom-pattern tile backsplash, full-size in-unit washer and dryer, and wood-style flooring.
On-site amenities will include a clubroom, a sky lounge, a business and conference center for meetings or events, a resort-style pool, a fitness center, outdoor kitchen areas and bike storage. The project will also feature a tranquility courtyard.
Residents will be able to run, walk, kayak or bike along the Buffalo Bayou and the nearby parks. The project is near the historic Landmark River Oaks Theatre, the Rienzi Museum of Fine Arts, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, the Rothko Chapel and the Menil Collection.
The site is a short drive from several employment hubs such as Downtown Houston, Greenway Plaza, the Galleria, the Energy Corridor, the University of Houston, Rice University and the Texas Medical Center.
Pre-leasing at Alta River Oaks is set to begin in fall 2020. The River Oaks project is a few miles from Wood Partners' Alta West Alabama development. That 304-unit project broke ground earlier this month and is expected to open in Q3 2020.
