5 Noteworthy Food Trucks in Houston

Houston Other

If you’re hoping to try some new restaurants over the holidays, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled five of our favorite Bayou City food trucks with options ranging from Korean BBQ to homemade pizza. (Not on the list: Leftover turkey. You're welcome.)

Oh My Gogi!

Location: 5555 Morningside Dr

This Korean/Mexican fusion food truck provides interesting, unique options for a late-night snack or mid-day lunch. “Gogi” means meat in Korean and the Oh My Gogi! team has compiled some truly delicious meat combinations from Korean BBQ to tofu marinades and veggie burgers. All marinades and salsas are homemade and created with fresh ingredients.

Tacos Tierra Caliente

Location: 1919 W Alabama St

Don’t be fooled by its less than snazzy exterior, this taco truck is the real deal. We highly recommend the barbacoa tacos but you can’t go wrong; the menu is strong from top to bottom with classics like pastor, pollo, quesadillas and tortas. If you’re feeling brave, try the very spicy hot sauce. The truck is open until 11pm most nights and is the perfect spot for a late-night bite

Eatsie Boys

Location: Typically parked at 8th Wonder Brewery Thursday through Sunday

At Eatsie Boys, you can get a meal complete with a nice, light assorted cream popsicle. The truck offers decadent options like sliced ribeye, slow-cooked pork belly and chicken poblano sausage. For lean-meat eaters and no-meat eaters they offer grilled chicken breast and marinated tofu. Make sure to acquire some of their signature hand-sculpted, herb-dusted fries

Mam’s Snoballs

Location: Corner of 20th and Rutland in the Heights

If you don’t know the difference between a snowcone and a snoball, get to Mam’s immediately. While a lot of shaved iced places serve crunchy snowcones, Mam’s dishes out New Orleans-style, fluffy, light snoballs. Mam’s includes staples like Blueberry, Mango and Coconut and more exotic options like Creole Cream Cheese, Pineapple Upside Down Cake and NOLA Bomb Pop.

Pi Pizza

Location: On the move, check social media

As owner Anthony Calleo’s first food truck, Pi Pizza has been widely successful and for good reason. All the pizzas are made fresh to order, so prepare to wait a bit, but the ingredients are high-quality and the pizza options are vast. From lighter options like The Socialite, featuring arugula and riesling/vanilla bean poached pears to heartier ones like The Trailer Park Trainwreck, with buffalo chicken and jalapeños, each pizza will leave you satisfied.
