Broker And Owners Come Together To Find Space For Red Cross
The epic flooding that hit Houston earlier this month brought out Houston's best. When disaster strikes, you can be sure the American Red Cross will be on the scene providing support. When Houston Site Acquisitions principal Theodore Brakatselos called Moody Rambin VP Jim Autenreith, they figured out the perfect way to give back.
Jim contacted one of his owners, Lance Malmgren, about temporarily donating 30k SF near Bush IAH to the Red Cross. Lance jumped at the chance. Jim showed the Red Cross the space that day.
By the next night, the Red Cross had a whole parking lot and half the warehouse full. The initial space soon overflowed with 18-wheelers and trucks carrying supplies. That's when MD Distributors, the neighbor next door, offered additional space as the Red Cross maxed out on the building. Waynce Nilback at MD Distributors and Lance Malmgren have worked tirelessly to ensure the Red Cross can operate seamlessly.
Jim Autenreith has also arranged temporary space for a flooded church in Vantage Parkway and for Belfor Restoration, which is handling the HP campus that was flooded.
