Brookfield Art Car Remembers Jeff Burcke
If you attend the annual Houston Art Car Parade this weekend, keep an eye out for Brookfield. The company has dedicated its car this year to Jeff Burcke, the much-beloved property manager who passed away Jan. 24 from leukemia. He was a great art enthusiast and a big supporter of Brookfield's participation in the event. The car has been residing in the lobby of Total Plaza, which he managed.
Here's Brookfield's car in all its skyscrapered glory. The firm (known for its global arts program) won the best corporate entry in last year's competition and is hosting the Art Car Ball on Friday night. The parade is in its 28th year and is the largest in the world with around 300,000 attendees and over 270 cars.
