When The Howard Hughes Corp. Vice President of Leasing & Commercial Land Rip Reynolds is not busy being at the center of The Woodlands real estate, he is running. During the Chicago Marathon in October 2016, Rip qualified for the Boston Marathon with a time of 3 hours, 17 minutes.

“I have been running my whole life. I started with 5K and 10K runs and gradually increased the distances,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds has competed in the Houston Half Marathon for 10 years; the half marathon race at The Woodlands Marathon since its inception in 2012; the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas; the New York Marathon in 2014 and many more half marathons.

“Running is a passion, and I’ve always enjoyed the competitiveness and challenge of maximizing my physical and mental strength to achieve the best possible result. The Woodlands is one of the best places to live, train and compete with the different options from marathons to the Ironman,” he said.

Marking its 122nd year, the Boston Marathon has grown from just 15 to 30,000 participants with over a million spectators along the route. This year's marathon will kick off April 16, Patriot's Day.
