Three Houston Architecture Firms Come Together For Good Cause
Three leading Houston architecture and design firms—Abel Design Group, HOK and Kirksey Architecture—have joined forces with CBRE and other real estate/construction leaders to design a new campus for the Good Shepherd, a residential treatment center in Tomball that supports and counsels at-risk boys between the ages of 7 and 17. The project is planned to break ground in 2017.
“The more we helped with repairs around the campus, the more evident it became that the boys needed a new home,” said CBRE managing director Hayden Austin, founder of Building New Foundations.
Building New Foundations will host a golf tournament on Nov. 7 at The Clubs of Kingwood to continue to raise funds for the construction of the campus. To date, the organization has raised more than $700k.
