Houston Urban Designer Unexpectedly Dies
Longtime Asakura Robinson principal Patrick Chang died unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 15. Chang was known for his work on Sugar Land Town Square, the Plaza at Enclave and streetscape improvement projects for the Westchase District.
Chang earned his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State, gaining early experience at Sasaki Associates before working for Mesa Design Group in Dallas, and then SLA Studio Land. In 2005 he joined Asakura Robinson as a project manager, eventually rising to principal.
