AmazonFresh Introduces 1-Hour Delivery To 3 New Markets
AmazonFresh meet Houston, Minneapolis and Phoenix.
Prime members in those cities can purchase fresh groceries and everyday essentials for free two-hour delivery from AmazonFresh beginning Thursday. A one-hour delivery option is also available.
“Prime members tell us they want their stuff even faster," AmazonFresh and Prime Now Vice President Stephenie Landry said in a release. "We’re happy to deliver on that ask and can’t wait for customers in Houston, Minneapolis and Phoenix to take advantage of one- and two-hour delivery from AmazonFresh.”
AmazonFresh entered the Dallas and Chicago markets in 2016.
Prime members can choose from tens of thousands of items from meat and seafood to fresh produce, plus Amazon.com bestsellers like Amazon devices and other electronics, health and personal care, home and kitchen, toys and more. Beer and wine is also available for delivery to select customers in Houston.
Amazon has a 110K SF warehouse in Fallbrook Pines Business Park in northwest Houston that serves as a grocery logistics hub. It was announced in 2017, after Amazon made its bid to purchase Whole Foods.
Amazon also recently opened a 25K SF tech hub in Houston's CityCentre. About 150 Amazon Web Service employees will occupy the facility, which serves as an innovation lab for customer collaboration and new technologies.
